Loved staying at this hotel! Travelled with two daughters aged 18 and 20.
Was upgraded to one of the double-tier bedrooms, so enabled my daughters to sleep upstairs and myself downstairs. Room overlooks the piste and has excellent balcony.
Only issues were lack of air conditioning. With temperatures reaching 35 degrees centigrade at 8pm in the evening this doesn't make for a sound sleeping environment!
The spa and pool facility is wonderful. Wish more hotels had facilities as good as these...
Breakfast was good too!
The hotel is very close to the centre of Les Gets with all facilities within a 5 minute walk...

Room Tip: Overlooking the piste!

We were extremely satisfied with our first floor, slope-facing, warm and cosy room. We had a spacious balcony where on a sunny afternoon it was lovely to sit and catch the last rays of sun and watch the skiers on the slopes in front.

Thierry and his team do a marvellous job in the restaurant but we found the lounge service a little bit slow in the evenings and the bottled beer a little too warm. A pity no draught beer at the hotel. (we had to venture out for a glass of "pression")

The food was excellent, frankly beyond our expectations! In my opinion the chef does a brilliant job of balancing gourmet and homely - we looked forward to receiving the daily menu so that we could see what was in store for us each night. Well done Chef!
:( The lighting in the restaurant on all but one of the evenings was a little on the bright side.

The hotels position, right opposite the main ski lifts could not have been better.
There is no boot room at the hotel but they have an "arrangement" with Intersport right next door which was convenient but it's a pity there were no boot warmers/dryers - after a week of skiing my boots were starting to feel slightly cold & soggy inside! (take boot warmers if you have your own)

The free wireless internet was uncomplicated and super-fast where-ever you used it. *Best of any other hotel we have stayed at before. Our room and bathroom was always spotlessly clean and and any problems like change of light bulb, was attended to quickly and efficiently.

Although we didn't get a chance to try any of the Spa treatments, we did use the sauna/steam room and swimming pool every afternoon - very nice!

Room Tip: Slope facing have fantastic views but be aware although the sound proofing is pretty good when the s...

There's no doubt that this hotel is in a great location with friendly staff and food-a-plenty but we didn't agree with the Thomson 4 star rating. The room was of an adequate size but the beds are small, you have to hold the shower head to shower and there was no in hotel storage for skis/boards. We were told we had to store our boards in the Interski next door to the hotel, which didn't have separate lockers but just one room which they locked each night. The head waiter was fantastic and the spa was welcomed after a hard day on the slopes. Two year's ago we came to Les Gets and stayed in Le Galaxy - opposite La Marmotte with a larger room and a third of the price although this was self catering. We are not fussy people, we just didn't feel we had value for money but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Our famiuly stayed here for christmas and new year. The ambiance was like staying with family but without the hassle of your family being there. The rooms were very well appointed (needed a kettle for tea/coffee) nothing more you could need, lovely and warm with a seperate mezzanine floor for the children, which they loved and we loved too. We ate in every night but one and the presentation, service esp from Tieey and Alan were superb.

Room Tip: You've got to look over the ski slope. NOT the car park!

I have been going to Le Marmotte for about 15 years - just about every other winter to ski with family and friends.

Les Gets has great runs to suit all standards and good mountain restaurants but staying at Le Marmotte makes every holiday a joy. Good furnished clean rooms, great food and fun staff. Nothing is too much trouble - great venue great hotel

to suit all standards TAURANTS for interesting some to ski. Always warm friendly atmosphere, fab food, lovely rooms great fun.

We only stayed for one night having spent the previous week in Morzine.
The staff were very welcoming! Despite us turning up at 9.30am, the young lady on reception allowed us to use one of the two rooms we had booked.
The room was very nice with a great view of the mountains!
I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here for longer in the winter

Magnificent view surround this mid-size chalet-hotel in the middle of LesGets. Very friendly staff who quickly sorted a room change for us when the one I booked proved unsuitable. Small balconies but with good views out to the pistes, which were crammed with muddy but happy mountain bikers. Room was a little on the small side, and bathroom was utilitarian for the 4* rating, so I assume the reputation of this place comes from the good staff and the location. Also the room was really hot all night (whereas the outside ambient temperature was downright chilly after 6pm - this is the Alps, after all..) - and I never found a thermostat for the room.

All round nice place, and fair value for the summer prices.
