We stayed in the 'Chalet Alexandre' as part of a Neilson package in February. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted by out chalet hosts who were all very friendly and polite. The main dining/living area was very spacious, but cosy with a log fire that was lit on request. The bedrooms were very quaint; ours was on the top floor with an en-suite. After a long day skiing the shower was a god send; always hot and very powerful. Wifi was available throughout the chalet for free which was good.
The food was excellent; breakfast consiseted of cereal/rfuit/yoghurt etc or acooked breakfast. It happened to be valentines day during our stay and a special breakfast of eggs benedict was prepared. Tea and coffee were available all day. No formal lunch was provided; but afternoon tea at 3pm was more than enough to keep one going with lots of cakes and crusty french bread. Each evening there was a three course meal and I must say the food was excellent and very varied, the wine was good quality and most importantly plentiful!
The resort itself was great; lots of little shops to potter around in the day and lots of reasonably priced bars to have a drink in the evening. The skiing was OK; I am a beginner and found that there weren't many 'easier' runs; even some of the blues and greens were hard to naviagte, plus only no blue and only one geren run (which was very narrow and winding) lead right back to the resort.
