A group of 6 of us ate here and we had fondu. 3 of us had the €22 a head beef and fries which was v good but the other 3 people in our group were less than impressed with their €20 a head melted cheese and bread! Good ambiance, nice cosy feel but service slow and quite sarcastic! Think the owner had a strange sense of humour!

We booked a table here for my daughters birthday and had a lovely meal. The service was excellent and we were made to feel very welome and looked afte.. The decor and ambience of the restaurant were lovely and the menu had a good choice and felt local. We all had fondue , sharing meat and cheese ones between the 4 of us. If you have fondue you wont need a starter and we certainly did not have room for a pudding , making it even better value for money. With a bottle of wine and drinks and fondue for 4 the bill was a reasonable £92. I would certainly not hesitiate to recommend .

Excellent restaurant. We had lunch here and it has a great menu of local dishes, fondues, raclettes, salads etc.
All the produce was prepared freshly & excellent quality.
The house wine was good.
There was a good open fire on the go.
The service was friendly, helpful and good.
The only thing I would say is that if you are in hurry it may be a good idea to tell them as this is a place for a leisurely lunch! To be expected when everything is so fresh.
It didn't bother us as we went at the end of our trip & the visibilty that day wasn't too good.
However, we would definitely eat there next year - it's cheaper & better than anywhere we tried up in the mountains too!

We went to Le Rouge & le Noir on the last night of our trip and I was a little saddened by the fact that we hadn't found it earlier. Staff were very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere and surroundings were lovely and the food was exceptional. We had cheese and meat fondues to share and I can honestly say the cheese one in particular was the best I've ever tasted. It is open late, has a comprehensive menu and I would heartily recommend it. Definitley book to avoid missing out.

We chose this restaurant after walking past most of the others in the resort. We had been overfed most of the week at the MarkWarner Chalethotel La Berangere (very good BTW), so were looking for something light to eat.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff are so friendly. We both ordered just a pasta dish each, mine with seafood, my wife's was vegetarian, with a salad between us. When it came it was delicious, and plentiful. We had been eating for about 10 minutes when the maitre d' came up to see how we were getting on. We replied that we were enjoying the food, but were resting. He asked if we would like the pasta heated up, as it must be cold by now. We said thanks, and 5 minutes later we had the 2 plates returned streaming hot, and we tucked in again. All this service for what were amongst the cheapest dishes on the menu. At the end, when we were paying the very reasonable bill, our water jug was topped up without asking. (and yes, they were busy, but they cared about their customers)
Thoroughly recommend.
