Good variety of runs and loads of great learning slopes for beginners at different heights on the mountain.

“Ski Trip Les Deux Alpes”
Reviewed March 17, 2014

A great resort, great skiing up on the glacier, ski hire staff in Hotel Aalborg are brilliant and our hotel Serre Palas was fab. The food and bars in town are a bit Sammy, with the exception of Le Cellier which is brilliant. It can be expensive to eat and drink but when your captive in the resort you don't really have a choice. Overall a great location.

“First timers and refreshers...”
Reviewed March 13, 2014 via mobile

This resort is great for skiing and alike... We wanted a resort which had lots for beginners and intermediates .. Great hotels and great restaurants.. Quite expensive resort but then that's what u get in France ... 2 FREE drag lifts at the bottom for those re finding there feet .. Lost pass is €47 a day if you don't want to commit to a full week and ski rental is €21 per day .. We also did mountain walks between skiing days! Glacier is amazing!! Some bars have free wifi but u need to ask for the code which was annoying!! 2 supermarkets open all day from 8an to 8pm stick up! 1 place only sells cigarettes! Fondue is a must try at the restaurants!! About €25 pp inc wine but well worth the experience!!
We stayed at les Lutins with neilson , very central and relaxed 2star. Rooms with shared balcony lovely!!! Must hike down to the village of vulcano with cute boutique style shops and then a
One way gondola back up €6 each!! Takes about 2 hours to hike down!! Great!!

“Self centered security staff”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

Having a lovely time in the resort. However, never experienced security guards so obnoxious as the ones at the entry of the Panobar. At the top of the Jandri Express lift 1. Rude and would not give any ID (not sure if it's a requirement in France).

“Great ski area”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

Visited Les Deux Alpes in March 2014 with a group of keen skiers, and were lucky enough to have fantastic weather on all but 1 day.

Whilst the resort boasts 225km of pistes, a large proportion of these are Green tracks for getting from one area to another and beginners areas. That said, there is a good amount of pistes available for the more experienced skiers to keep them happy for the week.

On sunny days head to the Vallee Blanche area in the morning for some great skiing, going up to higher glacier area in the afternoon, but beware, the Glacier can be cold and windy at times - check weather reports on the lifts.

Lift access areas can get very busy, and result in some waiting around at peak periods of the day.

The return to the resort at the end of the day can be a little awkward, as it is by a difficult Black run, a busy and chopped up Red run, or a long mad busy and narrow Green run.

Found some good (although a little pricey) mountain restaurants with great food - try La Fee restaurant to sit outside in the sunshine on nice days.

On the whole, a great area, and one to which I will return.
