“Best mountain restaurant”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

We have returned to Le Diable au Coeur year after year. Good spot in the sun at the top of the lifts for a quick morning coffee or hiding away when the snow is driving across the mountain. Clean, nice decor, great range of mountain food, super fire place for warming hands. Gets busy - so book ahead if going in the main lunch rush hour or with a bigger party. The menu is predominantly regional French and not so cheap (but good value for the quality) - they have a good prix fixe menu changing daily and the kids always found something to try (incuding frogs legs salad!).

“Nice view, delicious food!”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

The best restaurant to have a snack or a real lunch on the slopes.
We started to stop there everyday, the view is excellent in the veranda, the staff is friendly and the food is great and all in a nice mountain chalet, we couldn't ask for more. Thanks Le Diable au Coeur!

“One of the best high altitude restaurants”
Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Great location at the top of Diable chairlift, very scenic and great for a long lunch and break (particularly if you have a child who is tired after couple hrs of skiing). Real fire is the ceterpiece and convenient to dry your gloves and jacket. You can also take your ski boots off and use provided slippers and give your legs some rest before skiing down the Diable run (or take the easier blue runs to the center of the village).

Food was surprisingly good. We tried both daily menu, a la carte and child menu (which together with hot chocolates was way too much for 3 of us). Duck was particularly good, while hen was ok (still better than many other mountain restaurants we tried).

Somewhat more expensive than average, but we consider it good price comparing to what you get in many other places on the mountain.

Good and friendly service. Tomorrow is our last day in the resort, and we are planning to go to Le Diable au Coeur again before we leave.

Would definitely recommend, go there if just for a short break and a cup of hot chocolate.

“Quite a lounge at 2400m !”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

What a surprise to enjoy such a place after 2h of hiking. They have a lot to offer incl. different rooms/spaces, in & outside. Terraces are nicely decorated, the staff is very friendly and one feels immediately welcome. Arriving late in a crowded restaurant, we were nonetheless quickly served. Good wine, delicious cuisine and v.good value. A strong example to follow in order to prevent the expansion of abusive fast food on mid & top slopes... We will certainly visit the cosy "Diable au Coeur" during the next ski season!

“Bizarre gourmandery”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

At over 2000m eating a salad of asparagus and fois gras, drinking wine and enjoying the sun. A strnage sensory experience, heightened by the excellent tasting food. Patchy service, some chairlift noise if you sit outside, but otherwise great.
