“"Great Hotel For A Stay In La Clusaz"”
Reviewed August 14, 2014

Spent 4 days here last week.A wonderful hotel.Clean and cosy.Perfectly placed for all activities in La Clusaz. Our room was just right and had a balcony which gives you a stunning view of the mountains. Our package included a free breakfast, buffet style next door at the Hotel Carlina. Well worth the extra charge. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: For a small extra charge, choose a room with a balcony on the north side.Stunning view

This hotel took my grip for a long weekend - not an easy thing to find, so hats off to them.

Pleasant enough place, very friendly & helpful. Pretty clean & tidy. A bit of a walk from the slopes, perhaps 10 minutes. You can use the swimming pool in the hotel next door.

The town itself is pretty & fairly big with some good restaurants & bars dotted about.

The slopes are pretty good with a mixture of fast & slow, old lifts (you get to pick your routes carefully after the first day or so)

Overall great for a cheeky weekend's ski & good value too.

We had a weekend break in January. 0nly an hour from Geneva so we were on the slopes by 11.30am after getting the first flight out. Hotel is is great quality for a 2 star clean and tidy. Rooms a re small but good for a weekend break.

Only down side is a small walk up hill after a hard day skiing. Always rent ski from Ski 2000 in the town then you can leave all equipment there.

Breakfast was normal ski resort buffet but plenty to eat shame no cooked items. Bar was very quite and so not really good to stay in could do with some music playing to give some atmosphere would help.

No facility for showering once left rooms on last day but can use sister hotel next door in the pool area which was ok.

Room Tip: Ask for a front facing rooms as nice views and rooms are slightly larger

Stayed at Beaulieu Hotel with a group this weekend. Fantastic little hotel, beautifully decorated, with friendly staff.

The rooms were a good size, and well maintained, with a lovely bathroom (lovely hot showers - perfect after a day of skiing!) and our rooms all had a great mountain view.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the slopes, but a good warm up before skiing, and warm down afterwards. I think there's a village bus service that will take you down, but we didn't use this.

The access to the spa in the hotel next door was an added bonus, and had good reviews too. We had breakfast included in our rate which was great, and had a wide range of options to choose from (buffet style).

The town was a 2/3 minute walk away, with easy access to everything.

Staff were fantastically friendly and helpful, and gave great advice on restaurants, helped book taxis and were very accommodating.

Would definitely return.

The hotel is at the top of the village but not a bad walk if you use the ski hire shop in town for storage. Hotel is pleasant but lacks management. Service at dinner is chaotic and the staff at times spear cluelesss, quite amusing to watch especailly as French service at dinner is usually perfect.

Also only one choice of main course so if you or your kids are fussy be warned. Also, disgracefully in the land if dime cuisine, the desserts are brought in. This was confirmed by the brake brothers lorry in the car park.

My big gripe is the bar closing every night at ten pm. Man deserves beer when finally got kids to bed and can't leave the hotel

We booked two rooms, one south facing for my husband and I plus a standard room for our children. The south facing rooms are worth the extra cost, they are bigger and have a great view of the slopes as well as having a balcony. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, they spoke better English than my French. Breakfast was very good. We didn't chance to use the pool in the hotel next door. The out door municipal pool with flumes is also very close.

Room Tip: Book a South facing room

We went to La Clusaz for a long weekend skiing and it was an excellent resort for this, as it is only about 50 mins from Geneva airport. Having arrived on an early flight we were skiing by 1pm. The hotel is located just above the village and it is about 5-10 mins walk down to the square. We didn't find this a problem and there were also lots of restaurants and bars nearer. La Cordee was one we really liked. However, it is important to rent your skis at the bottom of the slopes so you can store your skis and boots in the shop overnight and don't have to carry them up the hill to the hotel, which would be a nightmare. We used Le Schuss which was great in terms of equipment and service. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, the staff are friendly. Our room, though small, was lovely with an immaculate bathroom. The beds were really comfortable. Breakfast stood out as being particularly good - there was lots of good quality local foods on the buffet. The only thing that we didn't like was that the bar closed at 10pm as it would have been nice to have a nightcap after dinner. However, it was not a problem and we would definitely be happy to stay there again.
