We stayed here for a week at the start of March and would definately go back, both to the hotel and the resort. We had a package holiday via Crystal and thought it was good value for money as it included our lift pass and free wine with dinner, which we only found out at dinner the first night as it was not advertised by Crystal. This was a very pleasant surprise. The food was really good especially always having a fish choice as a main course. The cheese board was a large table and a cheese lover's dream, as too was the desserts. As we normally go self catering, which is usually extremely small and basic, we were very pleased with this hotel. The staff were without exception very pleasnt and helpful.
The skiing was good and the lift pass can be upgraded for under £20 for another nearby area which is adequade skiing for a week. We normally go to the larger areas such as the three valleys, tignes/val d'isere and although not a patch on the size of these, was enjoyable skiing.

I have been here for 4 days for a meeting. Service and restaurant are pretty good ( we had 4 beatiful days and dining on the terrace was very nice) but the hotel need to be outdated. The rooms are pretty small, clean but very basic ( as you can see from my pictures).
Overall, an average hotel that could be transformed in a nice hotel with some investments....

We arrived on Thursday 8th March and left on Monday 12th March. We were a party of 6 men all late 40s or early 50s. The staff were really friendly and helpful and explained about he evening meal swap scheme, which we didn't use as the food was really good with excellent choice. The waiting staff were really friendly as well. The rooms were a bit basic and too woody. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were a welcome distraction after a hard days skiing. We rented skis from the shop at the hotel and that worked out really well. The hotel is 5-10 minutes from a chair lift and there was so much skiing. La Clusaz is a real hidden gem, although I suspect it will start to be very slushy soon as some of the runs are quite low.
The breakfast each day was a feast with boiled eggs and sausages as well as the usual French breakfast fare.
We will certainly consider returning, particularly as the resort is only about 1 hour from Geneva.
If we do we will book this hotel again.

We arrived late evening after a day travelling. Check-in representative was aloof and unhelpful. I asked her about parking for our car and was simply told "the car park is full". I was offered no assistance with finding a solution. Room was not as booked (I booked a double but we had a twin). We were next to the elevator which ran through the night and along with the shouting of "good night" along the corridors made for poor sleeping conditions. The general condition of the hotel very poor and neglected and in desperate need of a lick of paint (light switch in our room almost hanging off the pebbledashed wall). Lights not working...etc. On a good note the restaurant staff were lovely and the food homely. I would think very carefully before parting with the extortionate £194 per night room only! I felt robbed and will not return.

I just returned from a week of skiing in La Clusaz staying in Alpen Roc. The food and especially the friendly, helpful staff made it a great family holiday. The room was clean and warm and the bar area with a log fire and panaromic views of the slopes was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the goûter. The staff showed a true interest in the guests and made sure every need was addressed. I hope to stay at Alpen Roc again soon and recommend it to all.

We stayed there with a large group at the end of January, and it was ok, but nothing I would like to go back to. The hotel's situation is ok, the rooms are very small, the hair dryer a real joke. The bathroom is clean and the beds are comfortable (which is already a great advantage and earns the hotel the overall rating of average), but everything is really outdated, including the pool. I'm convinced you can get something better for the same price elsewhere. Some people with us tried the massages, but found they were quite expensive for what you get. Dinner was not great, breakfast surprisingly good. Reading the other reviews, it seems to me that it really depends on what you're looking for: here you get the basics, but nothing more.

I went on a ski holiday with my family there and I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The location is really good. It is close to the village and a 10 min walk from the ski slopes. It was really convenient since we had no car (we arrived by plane (Geneva airport) and took a bus to La Clusaz).
The food is excellent and varied.
You can rent your skis inside the hotels and there is also a small swimming-pool and a spa, which is very enjoyable if not all the family is skiing and some members prefer to relax.
