Brilliant hotel just by the DMC
Pool and spa are clean and quiet enough compared to others in the resort
Breakfast has good choice visible but you can also ask for specifics which they will accommodate as best they can
Restaurant serves good food but it would be good if they had simpler dishes for lunch and for kids
Rooms are clean and comfortable
Toiletries are very nice
Staff is very helpful and efficient
Navette to take you out in town is a real plus
One down: ski lockers are small and room is tight which makes it very complicated at “rush hour” especially with kids

Stayed in several ski resorts around Europe with great facilities and great food but this hotel is the only one we would return to. Hotel is at the top of the resort conveniently placed for the ski lifts, not too big only 42 bedrooms.. Ski in and ski out with lots of ski shops close by. On arrival we were given a very warm welcome from Nicholas and shown to our room 301 , which was large and very comfortable and had a bath. Rooms are kept to a very high standard and at long last a hotel that has a decent hairdryer! Food is important to our ski trips and this hotel did not fail. Food in fact was amazing with a very accommodating chef. English is spoken by all of the friendly and helpful staff too. Atmosphere in the hotel is warm and relaxing and the Spa is a lovely area to recharge after a day on the slopes. Our only niggle was the curtains needed black outlining as the piste bashers lights woke us up. Defiantly a hotel that ticks all the boxes.

Room tip: Rooms are probably quieter with a balcony

Well earned stop, I thought, after pedalling up l'Alpe d'Huez in the rain. Note, once you'e arrived in Alpe d'Huez centre, keep going as this place is right at the top. It's well worth the trip and the views are properly lovely in just about any direction.

The front desk staff were genuinely welcoming. Very comfortable room (not sure if wifi made it all the way there, but who cares?) and an excellent bar.

We travelled in June and I believe this hotel may have been opened for us especially - if so, that says it all about the service. Would be fantastic to come back to ski from here -a view shared by a number of others, it would seem.

We were a group of 5 adults and stayed in 3 rooms for a ski vacation in February. We can't say enough about the service, food, and location. The entire staff was very welcoming and seemed to anticipate anything we wanted or needed. For the food, it should be understood that we are food lovers and seek out places with special food. This place has very special and wonderful food. We had breakfast and dinner with the room. Breakfast was a huge buffet with an amazing number of items that were delicious. Dinner was a special event often with 6 courses including many French specialties that were wonderful. One night was fondue and another night we had Crepes Suzette for dessert. The wine list was very good. For skiing, the hotel is perfect. It is truly ski-in, ski-out directly from the ski room door. The ski room is spacious and the ski lockers are huge with boot warmers. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped. Our one Privilege room had a large balcony and a spacious seating area. One Charme room had a balcony and the other did not, but both were very well done. Our rooms were usually fully cleaned while we were at breakfast and turned down while we were at dinner. Our only small concern was getting an internet connection in the guest rooms. The signal strength was excellent, but had difficulty in obtaining an IP address and connection. We loved this place. From the moment we walked through the door until we left, we felt welcomed and completely pampered.
