Staff speak great English and were very helpful. Breakfast was amazing, had finished pigging out at the buffet when they came to take my order, for more breakfast. Room was clean and bathroom is spacious. Only issue we had was related to the time of year we visited. Hardly anything is open. Loads of cafés and restaurants about, so imagine in season it is great, but in June, very quiet as nothing opens.

I booked this independently as our hotel for our ski holiday, courtesy of a very good room rate on Booking.com. I have not been disappointed and I am quite a fussy so and so! We were greeted politely and given a full tour and explanation. Our duplex room is very nice- I like the faux fur throws on the beds - and we have great views of the town. The bathroom is clean and modern and has a great power shower with giant flat head. Breakfast is a full continental. Again, very nice. The location is excellent and, if we were to come back to Ad'H then I would book this again. I have enjoyed sunbathing on their terrace, their small pool and their little gym.

I stayed in this hotel from March 29th to April 5th in room 129 as the leader a
of a group of 13 people.
Let me start with the good aspects.
The hotel is perfectly placed overlooking the town and the beautiful valley which lies beyond. There are two lifts within 20 meters of the ski room door which lead to the main lifts and you can ski back almost to the hotel door.
The food is very good if a little limited.
The staff are friendly and helpful with the exception of one young lady who served at breakfast who was disinterested and at times rude. However all the others did there very best to make guests welcome.
Unfortunately, this is where the good things end.
When we arrived there was confusion regarding the room allocation and while the young man at reception was helpful the check in experience was one of frustration as there seemed to be a mix up between our group and other guests. we eventually got sorted and the staff very helpfully supplied a driver to take four of our group to another hotel where they were to stay on the first night. (More of this saga later)
Within a short time it became obvious that despite appearing to be well run and efficient the hotel was a disaster.
The carpet is worn, old and dirty on the stairs. There are two big stains on the 3rd floor carpet where, I suspect somebody had been sick and little attempt has been made to clean it properly.
In room 336 the wardroom door came off it's hinges, was fixed, fell off the following day, was fixed again and again fell off on the morning we left. The shower head in that room fell off while one of the guests as using it, destroying the walls, floor and her personal belongings. The shower curtain fell off in room 337 while being used engulfing the lady in shower curtain, shower rail and again causing damage to personal belongs.
In room 129 during the week the bath panel collapsed, the curtain and rail collapse and a coat rack attached to an internal door fell down.
Radiators could not be adjusted, The sauna timbers are broken, in fact on three evenings the sauna was not turned on at all.
The ski/boot room was littered with broken ski poles, broken parts of boot racks. luggage labels and other assorted mess. It was cleaned up three day after we complained.
A piece of broken glass lying on the window ledge just above reception was there when we arrived and was still there when we left, I suspect it is still sitting there.
On the first morning during breakfast a young man proceeded to hoover the lobby area and part of the breakfast room to the extent that conversation was impossible and any sense of tranquility destroyed. An hour later the same young man was hoovering the corridor to the ski room trailing wires after him thus creating a danger and disruption to the guests. A small point I know, but indicates the complete lack of effective management. Could management not have told him to reverse the order so that guests would not be disrupted?

As stated earlier four of our guests stayed in a different hotel on the first night and the staff very helpfully transported them to and from that hotel and also moved their luggage to Le Grande Rousses on day two. However they had to wait until 6pm to access their rooms on moving and this meant sitting around for two hours in ski gear while their rooms were being prepared. The hotel had all day to do so.
On the first evening the service was so poor that we waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our dessert. At this point some had given up and had gone to bed.
On the third evening the Manager offered cocktail drinks before dinner in an effort to smooth things-- TOO LITTLE- TOO LATE.
When checking out I was assured by the manager, Phillipe, that we were the only ones with a problem and he seemed to view us, rather than anything in the hotel as the problem.
A young lady standing next to me proceeded to complain that the cot for her young child was broken and dirty and also that the sauna was dirty, broken and unusable.
Phillipe, I rest my case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At first glance this hotel looks good. The lobby is bright and colourful but lacks taste and is a mishmash of different themes and is simply tacky. The rooms, stairs, dining room, ski room and sauna area have been badly finished and lack any attention to detail. On close examination the hotel is badly finished, dirty and generally in poor condition.
It is such a pity as this hotel has great potential, given its location in what is a fine ski resort.

The staff are doing their best and remain friendly and helpful despite the lack of any direction or effective management.
In the right hands and with competent management this hotel could be great. Unfortunately, at the moment it falls a long way short.

My husband and I spent 6 nights there during hight sky season...Great location, welcoming staff, good food, lovely room, I`m surely going back!

PS.: if you have a late arrival in Grenoble train station(which was our case), you have the option of taking a taxi(the taxi phone number can be found at the hotel`s web page), it will cost you about 130 Euros, it was a good option, the driver was extremely welcoming!).

Enjoy!

Long weekend skiing trip brought us back to Alpe Duez.
Hotel location was easy to find and parking was outside the door.
Greeting on arrival was super and we were made to feel very welcome. There was no "downstairs is this and that", no! We were given a tour of the hotel and where everything was.
You can ski right back to the door of this hotel, and there are two lifts right outside as well, to take you up.
Breakfast had a good selection of food.
English was spoken throughout the hotel.
There is free wifi.
The pool was fine, although a little cool. The sauna though was switched off during the day, so you had to remember to switch it on as you soon as you went into the spa area, so it was hot when you needed it.
Staff were always very friendly, attentive and helpful.
Would definitely go back to this venue again.

Room Tip: Use the inter sport that is almost opposite to hire skis from, otherwise you have a long walk.

We had a terrific superior room with lovely south facing views over the village from the balcony, but what really made this a wonderful hotel were the staff - all so friendly, helpful and attentive. The food/wine/service in the restuarant was splendid and the coffeee in front of an open fire in the lounge that followed was relaxing - just right after a hard day's skiing! Already looking forward to a return trip.

Room Tip: South facing, superior rooms have a balcony and sunny good views.

We stayed here as two couples in two rooms for three nights. The location is fantastic, it's right next to the gondola's come ski season and the pool is just opposite it too, which was in use while we were there. The staff were friendly and attentive, both at reception and in the dining area/bar. The wi-fi was free, but you had to go the front desk for a printed code that was only valid 24 hours. There were some rooms being renovated while we were there but it didn't affect our stay. If anything we were impressed with the work men's work rate! Our rooms were set up as twin rooms, they were spacious even with all the bike paraphernalia! The balconies had wonderful views all through the day and even at nightfall. We ate breakfast at the hotel which was very good, we had an evening meal there once but then ate out the other two evenings. I would definitely consider staying here as a summer or winter venue.
