“great experience”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

Great food from a great team !
We had a real nice experience at Le Rectiligne. Situated in a cul de sac, the restaurant might not be so easy to find (you will never drive by by accident) but is worth looking for.
The food is very creative although locked with traditional savoir faire. The destructured dishes are only side dishes whcih suited us perfectly.
The ambiance was very nice and the staff extremely welcoming. On top of the fantastic dishes, the wine cellar is just filled with great bottles and the sommelier could become a writer (he is hard to stop when he starts talking about his wines).
Definitely a place to discover although a bit expensive.

“Very good address”

We keep coming back to this lovely restaurant by the lake and it's always a good experience! The food is delicious and beautifully presented! They also have options for the kids.

“Good, although a bit experimental, food and good service.”
Reviewed June 2, 2014

The place is nicely located at the lake in Divonne Les Bains. The restaurant itself is quite nice with a elegant decor in reasonably neutral and good taste.

The food is very good although some people might find it a bit too experimental. It is probably not a restaurant where you would want to go too frequently though due to the experimental nature of the food.

The staff and the service is good and matches the quality of the restaurant.

I am a bit surprised at some of the other reviews. The restaurant is making no secret of wanting to cater for a somewhat more exclusive clientele nor of its experimental cusine so if you go there with babies or very young kids it is not really surprising if the restaurant is not the ideal spot for you. My wife and I went there with our kids (between 9 and 15 years) and had no problems whatsoever.

The price is perhaps not exactly cheap but it is in no way expensive for this type of restaurant in this region.

“Splendid, innovative without a fuss”
Reviewed May 31, 2014 via mobile

Overlooking the lake on a stormy evening and savoring the chefs's innovative but still understandable meals was a real pleasure. Everything was just perfect, even if I am no fan of azote cooking. Fortunately, it was not widely used.
On top of the excellent food, the cellar offers uncountable great wines which give the sommelier the opportunity to tell endless stories.
All the staff is just gracious.
The only downside would be the cost, but one does not eat that way everyday.

“Pleasant surprise every time”
Reviewed April 22, 2014

My husband and I have been here 4 times in all over the past year - once for a group event (20 people), twice for a romantic dinner and once for a relaxing Saturday lunch. We've been pleasantly surprised on each occasion, and will definitely return.

Pros: Lots of variety and surprise in the food, relaxed but gourmet feel, fabulous sommelier and great wines, details are perfect. Best for a romantic dinner, or long relaxed lunch. Take one of the set menus, and enjoy! My favourite mains were the scallops and lamb.

Cons: Pricey (though better value with the set menus and the lunch), many of the servers aren't overly friendly/helpful, you might struggle to understand what you're eating/drinking if your level of french isn't fluent.
