We went to Le Chalet d'Emilie because a few months ago I received an email from the chef who asked me to explain why my recent review was negative. I had never eaten there and had not written a review (he had clicked on the wrong review for his neighbor's restaurant). He and I had a good conversation so I decided that someday I would try their fare and give an opinion about it.
It is now done: we went yesterday - a Sunday. We were five adults. So here is my impression:
the food is excellent, attractively presented and plentiful. The chef adapted willingly to my dietary needs and provided a side dish of steamed vegetables instead of the risotto. The warm tart Tatin with sea salt caramel ice cream was exceptional.
The service was diligent, friendly and prompt.
Note that the restaurant is labeled as "gourmand"; so its prices reflect this quality. Let your taste buds vote for you: the quality of the ingredients and their preparation merit the label and the slight penalty in price is well worth it. You'll gladly pay it.
The only distraction: the music was a little young for our group and seemed discordant with the refined fare.
