This Hotel is in a great location , less than 10 minutes walk from the lift to Meribel, this means much lower prices. The hotel is also close to a number of bars and ski shops.
We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and always approachable. The food is first class and the service in the restaurant was very good. There is a good Apres ski bar that has some sensible prices and a good selection of snacks.
All in all this is a little gem. and the savings made in the cost of the holiday, compensate for the walk and lift ride up the mountain.

Booking through Crystal Ski and travelling as a small family group we based ourselves for a week of skiing from the Spa Resort of Brides-Les-Bains which provided a great base to explore the whole of the huge Three Valleys. The resort and hotel have no faults and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the three valleys on a budget.

Two large double bedrooms were ready on arrival both decorated slightly differently but with a traditional French decor. Both double rooms had good sized bathrooms and plenty of storage space throughout. One room had a Juliette balcony overlooking a small mountain stream which passed by the hotel. Others have commented on its noise but I found it quite relaxing.

In terms of amenities each room had a TV, hairdryer and safe and for a 20 Euro deposit you were able to use the ski lockers within the hotel. “Les Cerisiers” the hotels bar/restaurant is relatively lively after a day on the slopes, happy hour between 4-6pm, but otherwise Brides-Les-Bains is a quiet spa resort.

Food at Hotel Ameilie was delicious offering a variety of three course meals to keep you energised after a day on the slopes. Breakfast was of the usual continental style with fresh baguettes and croissants daily. Although there was no choice of main meal the staff were happy to make alterations and even provided a beautiful cake for a special birthday which was celebrated whilst at the hotel. The restaurant staff make up part of a wider team throughout the hotel with every member of staff always smiling and happy to help.

Bride-les-bains is a quiet resort suited more to families or those looking for a budget friendly visit to the three valleys. The Olympe Ski lift is a short walk up hill, around 5 minutes in ski boots, at which point the lift takes around 25 minutes to reach Meribel.

The resort does however provide a great base to explore the whole of the Three Valleys which provides a ski area suitable for all, particularly intermediate skiers. Staying in late March / Early April the conditions were amazing, lifts were quick and queues almost non-existent. The Three Valleys will be a place to return.

We’ve stayed here for last 5 years on our annual skiing holiday either booked independently or through Crystal. The Amelie is well located for the Olympic lift up to Meribel and is very comfortable with a great apres ski atmosphere in the bar. Food is reasonable and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Amelie is a great hotel for the budget conscious as it’s much cheaper than the resorts themselves and you’ll get your easy transport up the mountain as part of your lift pass. Last lift down is generally 5:30pm - don’t miss it or it’s a €50 taxi ride back! There is a free bus up and down on Tuesday evenings to enjoy the Meribel evening scene. We’ll be back in 2019!

Two of us stayed for a week at the end of January 2018 for the skiing.
A well-organised hotel, friendly, comfortable with good bar and restaurant, and very good evening meals. Convenient for ski hire and the gondola up to the 3 x Valleys

Stayed here for Christmas as my son was working in Meribel for the Ski season. Excellent and friendly service including a lovely meal on Christmas eve. Rooms are well appointed and spacious (I have stayed in far worse 5 star establishments)
The ride up on the telecabine is approx 25/30 minutes and very scenic. Caution - there is a bit of a slog from the telecabine to join the main slopes in Meribel.
The Hotel is located at the bottom of a steep slope up to the Telecabine (allow a good 10 minutes to negotiate this in the mornings - however you can rent ski lockers at the telecabine to cut down the hassle) All in all this Hotel offers an excellent alternative to the overpriced hotels in Meribel/Mottaret. Highly recommended
