We have a house near St. Tropez and know a lot of the so called celebrity haunts well but had avoided Nikki Beach until our teenagers were old enough to go to - more their scene than ours. Seven of us went yesterday - never again and I would not recommend it to anyone who isn't a Russian Billionaire with more money than manners. We arrived early to secure sunbeds for the day (which you pay for), staff were at worse disinterested and extremely pushy about us buying alcohol of which the least you can buy is a jeroboam - of course they have smaller on the menu just not available conveniently! When we left the sunbeds for lunch having told our waitress, we arrived back having spent far over a thousand euros for the average food, we found they had taken our sunbeds away and removed our belongings. They were rude, stroppy and completely unhelpful and blatantly lied, especially Jeremy, the jumped up so called manager of the sunbeds (such a big job). We were appalled as were the boys - who at the end of the day, will be their future custom. We have visited Le 55 and Key West for many years many times and they are vastly superior - for food, staff, sunbeds actually on the beach and star spotting! It wasn't even busy which in August probably says everything. Far better beach bars if you want late afternoon music and dancing too - AVOID Nikki Beach, it's terrible value, overated and disappointed.
