“Great day time location”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

This is our first stay at the hotel and were very surprised that all the facilities closed at about 5.30pm every day. On enquiring we were told that it was never open in the evening however, there was a pizzeria nearby or we could drive to St Tropez which was quite a drive especially if you've had a few glasses of wine at lunchtime.
The location is great, lovely beach however, even as a guest of the hotel you are charged to use the sun loungers on its' beach. The food in the formal & informal restaurants on the beach is first class and there is a great atmosphere at lunchtime - just a shame everything closed so early.
Breakfast was also a slight issue in that we went down at 8.45am only to find the restaurant being washed down & set up for lunch. The staff were very helpful in getting us a coffee but we did feel a bit like intruders.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday and would use the facilities at the hotel again but probably wouldn't stay there.

Room Tip: There are 3 choices, we had a garden room which was absolutely fine. Alternatively there are rooms...

We've been to this restaurant - which you want to travel to by a yacht to really feel it :) - quite a few times. You can see F1-drivers, artists and all kinds of celebrities as well as jetsetters from all around the world there.

The food and wine are excellent, the service crisp and attentive. Be aware, that your lunch is either pricey or really, really pricey, depending on whether your s.o catches something on the model girl she fancies. There's a real nice boutique next door and they use the restaurant as a catwalk

I have stayed at the Tahiti twice, both times in July [high season]. One stay was in a non-view inexpensive basic room, the other in a more expensive poolside suite. I would say that the poolside rooms are great options if you've got a group of people and you all book rooms like that, so you can dominate all the pool chairs and make the entire pool your own, as the other parties present seemed to do when i was there last summer.

The rooms: Relatively spacious, clean, and with basic accommodations, even in superior grade rooms. Nothing to write home about. The beds aren't very comfortable. There was an extremely large man and his wife staying opposite us in the pool rooms area, and he enjoyed lounging completely nude on his deck chair. All. Day. It was awkward.

The food: It's nice. Expensive, but nice. The desserts are especially lovely, and the seafood is fresh and presented nicely.

The scene: Great! This is why you come to St Trop to begin with...the scene. Its lively and fun and the party around here definitely picks up around 2pm. Tahiti is an interesting mix of music...not like the dearly departed Voile Rouge, or Nikki Beach. This is more varied, with some oldies tossed in for good measure, and fewer EDM tracks or rap songs. This is an older crowd than at the other beach clubs.

My advice: book here on a friday and saturday night. Get sun loungers all saturday morning, enjoying lunch or snacks. Then take a boat taxi to Nikki Beach and party hard from like 1pm-5. then go home and sleep it off at tahiti. The location can't be beat for beach club fun, but don't expect a 5 star resort, despite the 5 star price tag.

Room Tip: Don't bother getting an expensive room. save your money for the bars and clubs on the beach!

A group of eight if us went for lunch. Yes, it is a party atmosphere and the place was crowded at the end of September but at 170 Euros a head it didn't quite hit the mark. Starters between 20 and 30 Euros, Mains in the region of 40+ Euros and stupid bar prices soon mount up. The music is loud, the crowd mainly aged 50 plus and old ladies stripping off and dancing on the tables in between running drunkenly into the sea wouldn't be everyone's idea of fun.
The waiters were attentive and expect their hefty tips in cash but the food was decidedly average in comparison to places like Cap 21 further along the beach.
Yes, we did have a fun afternoon but I wouldn't repeat the experience in a hurry.

Room Tip: We only ate at the restaurant

This is a review of the restauruant only. No idea what the hotel is like.

Whilst Nikki Beach is fun, it's also very young so if you are 30+ then Tahiti Beach is much much better. The food is excellent, the service is also excellent, the music is excellent and the waitresses / waiters tend to join in the fun.

The first lunch sitting tends to be a little bit more subdued but the second sitting....that's when a party across the whole restaruant inevitably breaks out. Lots of chilled people of all ages and varieties dancing on the tables, drinking, mingling and generally speaking having a great time!!!

It's not cheap (Nikki Beach is more expensive though) but it's alwasy fun.

Probably better to go with a group of 6+ or so than as couples but, hey, that probably works too as you always end up chatting to everyone else.

Definitely best to reserve a table in peak season and I would also suggest a table in the front part of the restaurant (by the beach) rather than the back.

I only review the restaurant.
Very good service, very tasty food. Large portions. St Pierre fish was excellent.
Atmosphere particularly great. Relaxing. Very good, cool music.
Fashion show happening between the tables.
At some point the whole tables started dancing (this is lunch!) creating an unbelievable fantastic environment.
This place is so much better than the Club 55.

We stayed at Tahiti Beach for 5 days, the first two in a standard room and then in a superior.
The standard room was not value for money, very small and awful bathroom.
The superior room was of course better with a nice view in front of the sea but still had a limit: it was not clean as you expect from such a renomated place.
When we asked to the Reception to have a better cleaning, the Housekeeping came into our room very angry and stayed there just 3 minutes talking something in French that was probably against us, that was the treatment.
No breakfast organization and the restaurant closed at nights. It seems they are only interested in making money from the daily hours at the beach where many reach people come to open bottles and dance on the tables.
Service was not as expected from a hotel with its history and name.
The only good things were the position in the beach and the food at the restaurant, the rest has still to improve.
