Had to stay here one night because the campsite was full and couldn't find another hotel. Situated at the top of the village on the busy connection between la ciotat and marseille. Therefore outer rooms have traffic noise. Rooms are very small. Bed was very good. Airconditioning was available. Bathroom was very big but a useless waste of space. Very old, dirty, and not to standard for the 138 (!!!!!) Euro we had to pay. Bath with showercurtain and no point to actually hang up the showerhead. You even have to pay extra (!!!) another 14 Euro per person for the breakfast which is decent but not worth 14 Euro, especially when you consider we had to set our own table because we wanted to eat outside. Surroundings are nice and green. Swimming pool looks ok but is a bit redundant when you have so many beautiful beaches nearby. To get to the centre its a steep 10min walk down, bit longer up. We will never be coming back, stayed in much better for half the price with breakfast included. If price would have been 80 Euro this would have been more positive. But for this amount of money we simply expected a lot more....

So its been noted - its a strenuous walk from the harbour front.
The rooms are bijou, think student accomodation for the courtyard double - we had so sit on bed or go outdoors but ... the pool is so very very nice, see pics on this site, these tell teh story well.

There is no real excuse for not now providing wifi to all areas, it only works in reception, or if you were very lucky indeed, from room 17 intermittently.

Slightly more lived-in than is reasonable - shower fitting need replacement, but its good value all the same.
Tight parking yes, but this IS FRANCE GUYS!

Sunshine galore, ciccadas, pool, just fine.

Not really any self catering provision in our room and no encouragement to eat the overpriced breakfast.

Adequate value but a wee bit cramped, but this is the cote d azur

It was a last minute plan to stay in Cassis so we took the only room we could find by searching online. The hotel is at the edge of town, on a steep hill above the action of the port. The walk isn't ideal for families with very young kids or frail people. Most of the rooms are set in rows on a terraced slope, each with its own entrance with balconies; sea views only from the rooms on the top terrace. I didn't see the other rooms around the courtyard. Room we had was as well furnished and equipped as you'd expect for the price, but while elegant and comfortable I had a sense of it being not quite as clean and cared for as it should.

Nice pool area, nice breakfast room, and a slightly "had better days" spa. Being away from the port makes it an ideal base for a few days spent exploring the region as you can easily get in and out town. Free parking (limited). Efficient, friendly staff.

4 of us stayed in two small yet adequate rooms for 2 nights. Aside from minor inconveniences like the safe being stuck at first, it was wonderful to stay at a quiet and worn-in hotel that was both French and American friendly. Surely, they have seen and worked with a huge amount of travelers with varying needs. The pool was serene, as was the gazebo area, the service was friendly and "to-the point". The location of the hotel made it easy to come and go with the car. I certainly wouldn't mind staying there again when I want to get away from the hustle of the city, or the center of Cassis. It gives me great pleasure to write a positive review, as we learned from the staff that the hotel often gets critical to poor marks. When my husband last spoke with the staff, they were very appreciative and glad (with genuine smiles) to hear that we had a nice stay with them.

We stayed in the suite for 2 nights. Les Jardins de Cassis was the only place available even though we were booking several months in advance. The suite seemed tired and worn and in a desperate need of renovation. The air conditioning was completely inadequate. The internet was only available by the front desk. On the other hand, the employees were helpful and friendly. The pool was also quite nice. However, this was not enough to offset the very long hill leading down into town. We are a healthy and active family, but the steep walk (approximately 20 minutes at a good pace) is more than we would recommend.

Room Tip: The suite felt like staying in a bunker. Reserve two or more rooms if you are a family!

We booked a 4 night stay at this hotel based on the information and pictures given on the website. On arrival, it was nothing like that! The room we were shown was terrible, so depressing and cheaply furnished. Apart from that, it was on the second terrace, no hand rail and very dangerous to access. We refused to stay, but they charged us 2 nights cancellation.
I am just about to commence legal action against them for a refund, based on total misrepresentation. Also it is not 5 minutes walk from the beach, 20 is more accurate.
They should be ashamed of themselves!!
