We booked a 3 hour zodiac tour with L’eden tours. Amazing rock formations, inlets, fishing villages, islands, caves, quarries , blue water, etc. Just amazing even on a cloudy day.
It is worth a trip to Cassis to see the Calanques. You can buy your ticket when you arrive in the morning. It is so worth it and the water colors are amazing.
A great afternoon walk doing the petit prince walking tour together with Port Miou and Port Pin - stunning views along the way with some difficult climbs as well.
Walked via the pathway that runs through the old quarry that runs alongside Port Miou. There is a car park located at the bottom of Avenue des Calanques but I would imagine it will be very busy during the summer months. We walked through the old quarry for a couple of kilometres before walking up a steep but very wide incline made from loose stone. Once at the top you continue following the path for a short period before moving onto more natural ground covered with firmly embedded rocks with loose stone. The pathways are fairly obvious due to the wear and tear so easy to follow and have been marked with red/blue/white paint stripes every now and again. The rocks are so well trodden that in quite a few places it is polished and smooth which can make them slippery. We came to Port Pin where the descent quite steep and again over rock and loose stones.
The beach (mainly pebble) was worth the trip and the swim was very refreshing. Once in the water the sea bed is fine sand.
I have included some photos of the climb back up from the beach which was being made by all age groups, most wearing sensible footwear. Not sure what it would be like in high summer?
