“An easy way to see Cassis”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Nothing very special about the little train but it was a pleasant way to pass an hour and only costs 7 euros. Also lets you see parts of Cassis you might not walk to.

“Just fine if you are tired of walking”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

The little train takes you to the top of the nearest Calanques and provides a 10 minute stop for photos and viewing Just fine if you're too tired for the walk.

“Saves the hills”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Little choo, choo that goes from the bus parking area into town, saving steep walks. Totally touristy, but better than nothing.

“Poor ride”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

The train was disappointing. No concessions to English speakers at all. It took us out to the first calanques which is easily visited on foot, and then took us back on roads we had already seen so that a party could be delivered to their buses. I suspect that because we did some roads twice, we missed out on others we should have seen. A waste of money unless you are very infirm or very young.

“Disappointing tour of Cassis”
Reviewed September 18, 2012 via mobile

The little train costs 7 euros and is picked up from just outside the tourist office in the harbour. The train seats are hard and uncomfortable, you need to hang on for dear life as you are whisked around the town. Commentary is 90% French so you have little idea what you are looking at. The 45 minute tour is only actually 30 minutes as when you arrive near plage bleue the train stops for you walk around a car park as you don't have enough time to walk to the little church whilst the driver goes for a chat and a drink. You are then whisked back to the harbour front via back streets. Personally I would say the tour is if little value to the tourist but if you don't do it you will probably feel your missing something, your not!
