“Relaxing luxury in a friendly environment!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2012

Spent four days with Julie and Jean Claude who know what top service and friendliness are. Our two children (10 and 8) loved the pool, table tennis and petanque. Possibility to eat on the balcony and access to small kitchen gave us good flexibility with "home delivery" pizza evening for example. Beautifully decorated rooms. Were without a car so the ride to Calanques or train station by jean claude was very much appreciated. Walking to town took 15min, 20 min back with our children, the pool and view being great rewards for the long steps on the way back. Anyway, i would have hated to have to try to park a car in center cassis! Highlight of the week: trekking to the two first Calanques, beautiful landscape and nice fresh swimming half way to cool of the feet. Recommended anytime.

Jean Claude is the perfect host, his knowledge of the area and must-sees top notch. We had bad weather during our stay and every day he recommended day trips for us which would be interesting enough for our 8 year old daughter, too. Since we weren't able to have breakfast outside on the terrace every day due to rain, we ate in the dining room which was cozy and warm. Our room was immaculate and beautifully decorated, the stone bathroom with huge shower a real treat to the eye. The small, furnished private patio adjoining the room was wonderful to relax on in the evenings. The pool meticulously maintained although we hardly swam since it was so cool. Breakfast was simple and good. The views from the house gorgeous. No request was too much to ask, be it grilling for ourselves on the terrace, travel and weather tips, local information, etc. Jean Claude even arranged two hammers and chisels, safety goggles and gloves for our 8 year old to "find crystals" on Cap Canai! And she found lots... of minerals which she thought of as crystals. Something she will never forget.
All in all a wonderful gem of a B&B in an unspoilt coast of the Cote d' Azur. We will return.

Room Tip: We stayed in the family room downstairs which is great for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Stayed here with my (heavily pregnant) wife for one week in August. Very friendly hosts. Great setting, stunning views from breakfast. Nice location - a bit tricky unless you have a car (or very strong legs) as 20 minute walk uphill from Cassis - as a bit off the beaten path. Lovely swimming pool, very well maintained. Only small niggle was the wifi just never seemed to work for us, the hosts tried to resolve but didn't work. Another was that instead of a shower we had a bath with a shower but no curtain so not really used to it. Piece of advice: if you are coming in peak season (which we did!) parking in Cassis is an absolute nightmare, either drive in early evening or use the car parks slightly out of the town. All in all this was a fantastic place with great hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at this bed & breakfast. The room was spacious and very nice. The pool area was wonderful with a magnificent view. Julie and Jean Claude were excellent hosts, always helpful and smiling. The breakfast was very tasty. This is the best place we have stayed ever. Hope to come back some day.

* Service - excellent and attentive service - with perhaps the most varied and tasty breakfasts which we have received in France
* The room - whilst modest but adequate in size , it is still an attractive bedroom with separate dressing room, Bathroom & Toilet. Also a very private side terrace features, which was secluded and peaceful.
* Location & amenities - Swimming Pool is a good size and is located in front of the house with spectacular views - as is the breakfast terrace above the Pool. A real Oasis in suburbs above Cassis ovelooking lovely countryside and the cliffs beyond. It is also situated close to the local beaches and restaurants in Cassis.
* We very much liked the owners, Julie & Jean - Marie's personal attentive style - highly professional and warm manner. They have a selected list of personally recommended local restaurants and they would go out of their way to book these by phone on behalf of their clients should you wish it, ensuring the provision of a very good table selection.

We enjoyed the excellent French Breakfasts and an evening BBQ & drinks on the Terrace.

We , honestly, disliked nothing about our stay - other than our car wing mirror being "clobbered" by a passing vehicle when parked in the Street. We were unfortunate, as little trouble is normally experienced.

No hesitation in recommending and we hope to return!

Room Tip: Book early for your particular choice!

We stayed here for 3 nights in June/July 2012 while travelling through southern France with our two children. The La Demeure Insoupconee house and grounds are very beautiful, well taken care of and extremely clean. We stayed in the Ivresse des Sens room which was fantastic and extremely spacious for a room in France. It had a large queen bed, a double sofa bed for our daughters, a beautiful bathroom with a giant shower, a large sink countertop and a seperate toilet chamber with its own sink. The room also included a dining table, a bar, a mini-refridgerator and full table settings which was perfect for a late afternoon snack or could be used along with the outdoor grill if you wanted to cook in meals. This room also has its own private outdoor patio with seating and lounge furniture on the side of the house which is perfectly shaded in late afternoon. There is a beautiful pool with fantastic views of the Cassis vineyards and the Mediteranean sea. The hosts Julie and Jean-Claude were very nice and accomodating although we did have some language barriers since our French is not great and likewise with their English. Breakfast was good as well. We drove into Cassis for the beach and dinner at night (2 minutes to get there and 10 minutes to find parking) as opposed to walking because the walk was difficult for our children. Parking at the B&B was abundant and convenient. We did have some issues with the bank wire transfer for our deposit and I never asked (since at the time I didn't realize how difficult and expensive a wire transfer would be) but I hope they take PayPal which is what we used for all of our other non credit card taking B&B's.

My husband and I spent two nights at this B&B. This meticulously maintained villa has one of the best views of Cassis and is furnished with great taste. Julie, a gracious host, did everything to make our stay memorable. The room was sparkling clean and had multiple amenities including plates, cups, and utensils. The hosts provided detailed information about the area attractions and restaurants. The breakfast served on a terrace overlooking the sea was excellent.
The only small problem was that the owners did not accept credit cards and required a deposit wired to their bank at my expense. But at the end it was worth it!
This B&B has my high recommendations.
