Not quite what we had expected, this restaurant is small, cosy, well appointed and very busy. We were met by the owner, who serves table all by herself, but the service was great. The menu selection was varied and quite exciting. She was on hand to help with translation if required. The food when it arrived, could not be faulted, stylish, very tasty, but not over the top or over priced. We had been warned that the wines would be expensive, but we did not find this to be the case.
Not really sure why this place isn't higher up the rankings! Well worth a visit if you can get in.

Saturday night in mid November, hardly peak season but a very warm welcome to this small, perfectly formed restaurant. waiter (young, ex footballer - played in Netherlands) was friendly, polite and attentive - and happy to chat about football, which pleased H. We went for a starter and main course - waited a while but well worth it - excellent risotto, beautiful gambas and then roti de veau and saddle of lamb. Delicious! Good selection of Bandol wines - although they were out of stock of our first choice. Definitely go back and very good value for money.

Restaurant is located In one of the back allies as the better restaurants often are.
The menue is compact, but with enough choice to please most. Modern french cousine would be fitting to describe the menue.

A three course meal can be had for 35€.

As it is a back ally there is no view to speak of, but it is a cosy atmosphere.

Out of the 4 dishes we tried, 3 were excellent and one "only" good.

Recommended.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. We had to wait a little so they took us to a neighboring sister restaurant to wait at the bar. The Menu at Le Clocher is limited but great. We got the 35€ menu. The entree with gambas was fresh, light, and very tasty. My friend had the cream of fish soup, and was raving about it. Next I had the veal, and my friend the lamb. It was an explosion of flavors. The lamb was delicious, and I recommend it over the lamb. Great selection of wine. For dessert I had the crème brûlée with bourbon, and I could taste the vanilla and the hint of bourbon. The texture was smooth, and overall fantastic. I would not change a thing. Highly recommend it!

We have been going to Le Clocher for the past 12 years and each year the food gets better and better. This year was no exception. We especially enjoyed the gambas, the pissaladiere, the monkfish and the cod. The meat is very good too. The fish is amazingly fresh and served with original sauces. This is a family run restaurant and Phillippe and Florence both work incredibly hard to make this a wonderful evening.
