Having stayed at this hotel many years ago, it was good to see that the hotel has gone from strength to strength. In particular, the quality and choice at breakfast was first class Good position without being in the main town. Good restaurants nearby. Would definitely stay here again when in this area.

Room tip: Worth paying extra for a larger room if cost not too much of a burden.

We stayed two nights in this hotel, situated not far from the La Chaume quarter in Les Sables d'Olonne. The city center is 5-10 min. by bike, pedestrians can choose the small ferry from La Chaume to the Fish port. We had a very spacious and quiet room with balcony to the marina side. Bathroom and WC are sperated. The breakfast buffet offers a large choice of everything. Bikes can be looked in a small and safe room.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel at the end of our trip by bycicle. Staff was very helpful and courteous, even with some extra requests. Breaqkfast is OK, but maybe a little bit too expensive for what you get.

Very clean and roomy hotel with a clever side door leading to the marina and restaurants.
Nice big balcony with comfortable chairs. Well stocked fridge in the room as well. We only wish there was an English speaking TV channel.

Room tip: Very clean and spacious

Great location next to the harbour (which has a water taxi into town) and a main route out of town. The area is quiet with the hotel set in a little courtyard of apartments. The harbour is 50yds walk. Their are good restaurants nearby on a little promenade which hosted an evening market when we visited.
The water taxi costs €1,10 each way and runs to the harbour up until 19:45. There is another water taxi operating more southerly that runs up until 2am (seasonal, I think).

The reception area is accessed from both sides (Port and Car Park). The welcome is prompt and friendly. We were surprised to hear a Scottish voice (Fiona) behind the desk!

Rooms are a little dated (built in early 2000s I believe) but very clean and looked after. There was a shower/bath with separate toilet in our room. The balcony looked out across the courtyard with the harbour in view. There is a commercial port across the water that plays a central role in the geography of Port Olonne. It's quiet and unobtrusive and doesn't particularly deject from the harbour.

The hotel is an excellent base to see the rest of the town. Close enough that you can be in the busy areas in just a few minutes, but far enough away that it is very quiet and restful.

Breakfast is well stock and continental with a long open period (0730-1130).

The staff are helpful, knowledgable and welcoming. The is locally made goods in the reception area. The staff really are the pride of the hotel, they know the area well and are great for giving recommendations.

As a Brit: the area began by feeling quiet alienating. It seemed we were the only ones here to start with, but as the day progressed we heard more and more familiar voices, which put us at ease. In actual fact we felt very welcome and the locals were more than happy to accommodate our embarrassing attempts at the French language!

We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again and again to this lovely little locale.
