Its difficult to go into much detail as we only used the hotel to sleep in. We didnt eat there or use any of the facilities.
It is within 10 mins. walking distance to the park which was very handy although there are a number of other hotels in the area.
We had booked a family room and ended up with2 interconnecting rooms which was good. the rooms where clean but no hint of extravagance at all and very basic. \\ididnt like having to contact reception to control the air conditioning ,very strange. The hotel is in need of some upgrading but for a base for the park it was fine

The Hotel looks very modern but has nice touches in the vast foyer. built in a railway station design with high ceilings, having been constructed over an old railway line - there are perspec viewing areas in the floor so that you can see the line underneath.

The whole place is railway themed, with a railway bar and pictures all over the place relating to railways.

We weren't overly impressed with the booking in or booking out - only two people trying to cope in high season and both were very professional at not making eye contact if they were busy doing something else!

We only booked for one night on our way from the Loire to the Dordogne area of France. The surrounding countryside looks very boring and the Hotel is situated in an industrial area. However, we were impressed with their "Things to Do" tourist display and found that there was a wealth of thing to visit in the area.

Our room was excellent and it was especially good value for their family rooms - the same price as the doubles which we had while daughter, husband & children had a family room.

Stayed here to attend a friend's wedding nearby and used the opportunity to visit Futuroscope with the family. We booked 2 adjoining rooms, 1 double and 1 twin. The rooms were very comfortable and pleasingly spacious. Our standard rooms were reasonably well equiped (minibar, hairdryers, etc) although there was no kettle and a request to reception for either a kettle or a room service coffee was ignored.

The food in this hotel was very poor. Expensive for what it was, and it wasn't particularly pleasant - not a good advert french cuisine! There was a very limited choice and what was supplied was of very poor quality. We ate dinner there one day and had breakfast. At the buffet breakfast they were running out of plates and food, taking an age to restock (if at all - one day we asked for plates and were just given saucers).

There is a pool in the hotel which seemed very popular with the younger guests and there is 'games room' with video games, air-hockey, pool etc too. However, the hotel bar seems to only open for the early evening so not so much to entertain the older guests!

This hotel gives itself a 4-star rating, but I didn't see anything that would justify this. However, it is very close to Futuroscope (walking distance) and there is a free bus service.

One worrying aspect of the room (as we were staying with a 5 year old) was that there was no physical lock on the external child's bedroom door, so a inquisitive child could just open the door with the handle and walk- out into the corridor. Better hotels I've stayed in have a security catch high-up on the door to stop this.

The Plaza has improved since the last reviews. We (2ads &2ch) had a lovely big room, with a roomy bathroom, huge bed, and bunks, for 69euros in Easter week! I had a brilliant night's sleep, I think because the bed was so big & comfy. Window opened. Breakfast was 15euros extrapp but the children's bfst was free. Don't wait to book on arrival - in advance on the internet is cheaper, ditto for Fururescope, book it in advance & save a chunk. The Plaza is quiet and civilised. We ate over the road at the Alteora, which had a better menu. In comparison, though, the Alteora was shabby, although it did have an outdoor pool (open high season). The Plaza has a nice indoor pool & steam room. Futurescope is excellent - not tacky like Disney, in fact feels French rather than American, chic & clean. Didn't hear any Brits at all. Good mix of indoor & outdoor activities, lots to do but not unmanageable, & choice of good food. You can get headphones to translate but we didn't bother & it was fine. Wasn't bad value for money. Wouldn't recommend for children under 5. If you get splashed you can dry off in big dryers! Had lots of fun.

This hotel is set on the futuroscope site and is one of the many that offer free transportation to Futuroscope. We stayed here for six nights as they offered us a very competative discount in order to keep us there.

The hotel itself obviously was ideal for exploring futuroscope but also offered easy access to surrounding motorways so we were able to explore the area. The futuroscope site is still relatively new but a lot of effort has been made to make the area look appealing but there is still quite a lot of building going on.

From the outside the hotel didn't look wonderful but as soon as you walk through the doors you enter rather an impressive lobby, unfortunately this was the only part that looked particularly nice. The rooms were very basic and also not very well cleaned toilet wasn't clean, mini bar still had items from previous occupants). There were no facilities for making tea/coffee and of course the mini bar was very expensive. No room service was provided at all and also we were given no information about the hotel. This meant we didn't know when the bar would be open, or the restaurant. We only happened to find the swimming pool by chance.

We also spent a couple of nights being kept awake by the couple of dogs that were staying with guests. These dogs also joined us for breakfast (in the restaurant). I appreciate that different countries have different standards but as a severe asthmatic with an allergy to dogs I found my health was affected while in this hotel. I also suffered a number of bites during the nights we stayed there.

This hotel could be lovely if they made more of an effort. The majority of the guests seemed to be British or Spanish. Efforts were made to have some signs in English but there was nothing provided for any other nationality. The swimming pool (when we found it) was lovely and there was also a cocktail bar with dance floor that never seemed to be used.

The restaurant at the hotel was wonderful. The food was gorgeous and the service was attentive and professional at all times. Breakfast was also very good. There seemed to be some confusion as to the restaurant being part of the hotel or not. On one occasion we were allowed to to add our meal to our room bill and on another we weren't dispite being asked for our room number.

I feel this hotel really needs to raise its game in order to effectively compete with the numerous other hotels in the area. Ultimately the campanile round the corner offered similar facilities and standards at half the price.
