“Friendly, good value stay”

Most rooms round a courtyard, Park outside room. made it all very easy. Simple rooms but clean & quiet. Near the town centre so several resaurants. A good italian next door, where we ate. Good simple buffet breakfast. What else do you want for an overnight stay. The next morning went down to look at Coucy-le chateau, well worth seeing.

Very welcoming on arrival, made everything clear, where to park etc, extra pillows were sent up straight away. Very near to town centre and good choices of restaurants. Breakfast can be anytime to suit departure, all staff efficient and friendly.

Room Tip: Quiet at the back overlooking the courtyard/car park.

We used Le Florence as a one night stop on our way down to deepest France. Lovely welcome from William, who instantly realised our poor French and spoke in excellent English to help. Very clean, simple room with adequate facilities and a most comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet (4am to midday!) was plentiful, fresh and excellent value at Euro 6.50 extra, served by a cheery young lady who looked after everyone effortlessly. Will certainly use again.

The town centre has plenty of brasseries, restaurants and bars within a few minute walk.

I wanted somewhere to stop over and chose this hotel on the basis it was great value and I wasn't disappointed. Service was really good and the breakfast was a good price as well. We got accommodation for a family of four for £71. Parking is free and secure.

Room Tip: My only advice would be that the stairs are quite steep and I don't think there was a lift so be...

We arrived at midnight but there was someone there to let us in.
Room was spotlessly clean and large if a little stark.
Car parking was available but it was full by the time we arrived but not a problem as free parking is available on the street until 8.30.
Breakfast was good with plenty of selection.
A very good stop over close to the motorway and looked like a nice town to wander round (if you have time).

This is the third time we have stayed at Le Florence on our way to or from the Channel Tunnel and it certainly will not be the last (see our previous reviews). As before, the staff were very friendly, the rooms extremely comfortable, excellent bathrooms and the breakfast at 6.50 euros is superb value for money.

Bars and restaurants are within an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel and offer a good variety of food.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will definitely be staying there again. What more can we say?

Room Tip: One minor problem - we couldn't get Wifi in our room (3).

We stayed in Le Florence on our first night in France, approximately a two hour drive from the Eurotunnel terminal in Calais. The hotel's car park was signposted from the street (particularly handy as the satnav took us to the front of the hotel, but we had to drive around a short one-way system to get to the carpark at the side of the property). The hotel has its own carpark which was narrow and they cram as many cars in as possible, but secure as the gates are locked from approx. 11pm. The hotel is a very short walk into the town square with restaurants and bars - great for us as we didn't want to go searching around the town for somewhere to eat after a long drive from the UK.

We paid extra for a comfort plus room for two - good sized room with a large bathroom and powerful shower. There are no lifts in the property so had to climb two flights of stairs with our cases but were prepared for this after reading previous reviews. There was no air conditioning but we brought our own desk fan which was very welcome (the benefits of being able to pack your own car with whatever you need!). There was a skylight we could have opened if we needed to.

Staff were very courteous and check-in/out was quick. The hotel serves breakfast from 4am until midday. We received a basket of croissants and bread at the table and there was the option of cereal, yoghurt and ham at the buffet counter as well as flasks for coffee. We had to wait a while for coffee etc. to be re-filled as the member of staff running the show was also dealing with people checking out and phonecalls.

It was very good value for money and I would definitely stay here again.
