“Excellent accommodation”

We stayed here in July 13. Joel and Jacqueline are the perfect hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable. We were so glad we booked for the meals both nights as they were wonderful. It was so lovely to sit down with everyone at the end of the day and enjoy such wonderful food and hospitality. Thank you Joel and Jacqueline. We won't forget our stay with you.

We stayed for 3 nights whilst touring the battlefields. It is perfect for such a trip, being reasonably close to all the major sites. Being a working farm it is truly a unique experience. Joel and Jacqueline are kind and generous hosts. Do yourselves a favour and ensure that you book in for at least one of her famous meals, hosted by Joel. The rooms are clean, spacious with excellent bathrooms. The farm animals are a delight, particularly the donkey and the goose (its hiss is all for show). A small river runs along side the property, making it a truly awesome setting. A pair of peacocks were in the field across the road during our visit. Joel said that they arrive most years.
The place is really quiet and peaceful, no problem sleeping.

It was excellent value for money, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

My wife and I stayed here for one night en route to the Loire Valley. Joel and Jacqueline were very welcoming and our room was great. I echo the good comments made by previous reviewers (especially regarding the cooked dinner!). Lovely.

We have just returned from a four day stay at Moulin de Binard and it was great. The room was spotless and had everything we needed and the welcome we received from Jacqueline and Joel was very warm, they are very helpful with information regarding places to visit. We had booked to eat at the farm on the first night and it was so delicious and plentiful that we ate there every night, Jacqueline is a great cook and Joel joined us for dinner which was lovely as we learned about the history of the farm. They are situated in the most beautiful countryside and I cannot think of a better place to spend a few days both relaxing and visiting some wonderful sites we would love to return.

Picked this because of trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. Not easy to find so set you sat nav to go via Doignt from Peronne and on the Cartigny road. A very good welcome in lovely quiet surroundings. We had a choice of 2 rooms and chose the L'Orientale as I liked the colour scheme though the other room was fine too. This is in the main house at the top, quite tricky to take your case up the narrow stairs. Other rooms are in out houses. There is no tv in the room but that did not matter. There is one in the main room downstairs but we did not switch it on.
There is a small room off the main room with a fridge and kettle for you to use but we had to find that out for ourselves. There was some local beer in that fridge too and you an help yourself and let them know.
The meal in the evening, arranged beforehand at 26 Euros, was fantastic value. Three courses plus aperitif and wine during the meal. We had a goats cheese salad then chicken in a cream sauce with second helpings if wanted. The dessert was a plate of apricot tart, cherry cheesecake, raspberry sorbet and chocolate flakes. Most of the vegetables and fruit were home grown. We sat at a large table with 2 Australians and a lady with 3 children. Joel and Jacqueline waited on us all. It was a delight. Before the meal we had a chat and they told us that they had now given up growing endive (chicory) and had decided to just do the bed and breakfast business.

The bill for 2 of us was 118 Euros including that 3 course meal and 2 bottles of the local (strong) beer.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a lower floor if you are not so fit.

At Moulin de Binard your so welkom! Joel en Jacqueline make you feel at home. We stayed for dinner and loved the ambiance. Dinner was good (three course menu) en Jacqueline tells us about what she made.
We stayed with our two childeren en two dogs. The childeren liked the room, we had a room for the four of us. Very comfortable! The room was clean, and there were things extra, like soap, a hairdresser, a clock. Things that make you feel at home. The beds were good, not to soft.
It was the first night of our holiday to the south of France. From Amsterdam you be there in about 4 hours. Perfect when you want to stay a night over on your journey to the south.

Also the place is nice to stay because of the silence, and the nice area. You are an hour and a half from Paris. So you can stay here and visit Paris in one day! That's what we want to do next time.

We want to come again, because this is a very nice and special place!

Thank you, Jacqueline & Joel

We stayed overnight here on the eve of Bastille day returning from a trip with our daughter and granddaughter to Burgundy. A wonderful welcome, great room - very spacious and light, comfortable bed, sparklingly clean bathroom with a great shower (one of those with multiple nozzles). We had booked an evening meal which was individhually served by the owners so it was unhurried and there was excellent company as some Belgian families were also there, most speaking excellent English so my halting French was not needed (they were Flemish speakers anyway!), The meal included home-made aperitifs, wine (red, white, rose) and coffee or tea. Vegetables were home grown and the multiple plate of desserts was delicious and again home made. At breakfast there were teens of jams / marmalades available again home produced. We were treated to a display of their animals in the early evening including a personable braying donkey being bossed by a lively goose. Great for youngsters as lots of space around but great too for a couple of oldies like us.

As this chambre d'hote is located in the midst of the Great War (WW1) battlefield of the Somme (explaining the Poppy motif found in the rooms) this would be a very good place to stay for those interested.

Room Tip: We had the room on the 1st floor immediately at top of stairs. As I said - light (window on two wall...
