On our recent trip we needed a place to stay for 2 nights before taking the ferry to Dover, and the reviews sounded reasonable. We found the hotel amid the Sunday afternoon sunshine and the beach and surroundings were jammed with people. We were afraid it would be noisy but as the sun set, the people left and it was very pleasant. We did not eat in the resaturant except for the ample cold buffet, but found little fault with the hotel, in general. We had a ground floor, and used the outside door to bring in the luggage directly from the parking lot. Parking lot was not locked, but it was still somewhat secure, although there were bolts in the pavement that we were afraid of driving on.
We felt we got 'value for money' and in an expensive country, this was an okay stay, for a short period.
