We like to spend our last night of our holiday in a nice hotel, which the Hotel Meurice is, it might be a little old fashioned with a few imperfections but it is very clean and comfortable. Although breakfast is included we have never had it because we have had to leave early, but this time we had chance to have a quick snack, what a treat we have been missing, we have never been in an hotel that offered so much choice, I wish we could have lingered longer to enjoy it fully. We have eaten in the restaurant which we also enjoyed.

Room Tip: If you enjoy a nice relaxing soak ask for a room with a bath

Found this gem following reviews here. Approx 10-15 mins drive from the chunnel. Secure underground parking although the streets seemed safe we put motorbikes underground. Lift from the lobby.
Beautiful foyer - small but well stocked bar. Friendly and helpful staff - very chatty and informative. They even got the English sense of humour.
Room was lovely. The bathroom was quite basic but perfectly functional. Slept really well on very comfy bed.
Hotel is a 5-10 min walk from central area with bars / restaurants.
Water cooler in the hall.
Great breakfast included in price - lots of choice and good quality.
Would definitely stay again.

This is our 3rd visit to this hotel, we took my daughter and her partner for a 3 night break. This is abeautiful old style hotel, incrediably clean, therooms are spotless, nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they even remembered us even though we hadnt stayed there for a couple of years! The linen and towels were really fresh and white; no mean feat with regular washing! Breakfast is great, loads of choice and freshly squeezed orange juice. My daughter and her partner have fallen in love as well and are already planning a return trip. Loved LOL the crazy french dog, super cute.

Nice hotel in the center of Calais, near to restaurants and shops. Rooms had comfortable beds and were clean, good shower room. When we stayed it was quite hot and unfortunately there was no air conditioning, but that was the only negative point

Wanted a cheap overnight stay in the centre of Calais and this certainly fits the bill. The reception is open 24 hours and for £62 for 2 (expedia) includes an excellent breakfast. Only slight negatives would be being ignored by 2 night receptionist more interested in their own conversation when we booked in and don't believe the post code to find it! Would definitely use it again.

Faded grandeur and unusual decor. Welcoming and comfortable, ideal for Channel tunnel travel stop over. Lovely buffet breakfast with good coffee and hot chocolate in light and airy room. Good customer service with friendly welcome and helpful with local information. Huge and once very glamourous dining room, well worth an explore around the building!

We all enjoyed our stay here. In the centre of the old part of Calais, with easy free parking right opposite. The rooms were cool and comfortable (in the middle of the heat wave) and the staff welcoming. Breakfast was a wide choice of hot and cold foods, including fresh orange juice and coffee, and is taken in a bright conservatory.
We ate at Restaurant La Diligence next door, see separate review.
Excellent value for money, and we would definitely return here.
