Being regular visitors to the UK we often stay in Calais and this is the best hotel we have found in 20 years. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is super in nice surroundings. I can imagine that parking could be a problem in the summer but we found a space right outside the hotel in March. We will be back again in April

My wife and I have just returned from a two night stay at the Hotel Meurice in Calais. We have stayed at this charming hotel before and it was our first choice when we knew that we would be travelling to Calais again. It is located just off the main street which has a number of places to eat and drink. We ate in the hotel on the second night and was very pleased with the quality of the food plus it was not overpriced.I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering staying in Calais.

Typically French - and wonderful. Very pleasant owner who speaks good English and recommended two fab restaurants. Our room was comfortable and the whirlpool bath great fun! The breakfast at Meurice is one of the best I've ever had - hot and cold and all delicious! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Room Tip: We stayed on the front and it was fine - no traffic noise at all.

Why stay in a boring breeze block hotel when you can stay in this eclectic charming one. My wife and I stayed one night on our way home from France. The hotel is old, but warm and friendly and very clean. Our bed was SO amazingly comfortable. The staff are lovely too. Breakfast is amazing and included in most deals. We stayed here in March 2013 for around £88 including breakfast. Take a walk back in time and walk up the two storey spiral staircase and marvel at the variety of ornaments and furniture. It was a very cold night so we paid extra for the underground car park which doubles up as a museum of gorgeous classic Jaguar cars owned by the Patron. We ate in the restaurant which was also really good - so all in all a great experience. All this - just 5 mins from the Tunnel . We will be back .

We stayed for one night at the Meurice on a stoppover before getting the ferry back to the UK the following day at the end of a holiday in the Alps. We received a very warm welcome, its a lovely charming hotel, and a great breakfast which set us up for our onward journey home.
The hotel offers great calue and warm hospitality. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Room Tip: Two floors are served by a winding staircase and small lift.

Hotel Meurice is a querky old fashioned and very typically French hotel. It is very clean, the room was excellent spacious and comfortable and quiet even though we were on the front. The breakfast was superb with a choice of hot bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes etc, or full continental with croissants, french bread, hams, cheeses and freshly squeezed orange juice. The manager/owner recommended a couple of fantastic places to eat in the evening and again for Sunday lunch. We didn't have time to try the hotel's own restaurant in the evening but the menu looked excellent and good value! We will hopefully stay again when we next visit Calais.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 226 which had a jacuzzi, seperate loo and a very comfortable double bed.

We booked an overnight stay at this lovely old fashioned hotel in conjunction with a P & O 'cheapie'. The Hotel was very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately our room(no.232) appeared to be in need of a refurb as the wallpaper was peeling away in a couple of places and this spoiled the decor, although our friends room next door was bright and cheerful, apparently had been refurbed. We dined in the Hotel restaurant, unfortunately we clashed with the local 'Lions' branch meeting and we had to use the small part and this more or less gave us our own private dining room. The meal was excellent and reasonably priced. An after dinner drink was enjoyed in the bar which has a fine selection of whiskeys. Breakfast was good with a fine selection of food to choose from and the breakfast room was very pleasant. Staff friendly and helpful. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and I would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Merci beaucoup pour votre avis. Cela nous est toujours utile, et dans le cas présent nous allons faire le nécessaire à la chambre 232, problème lié à une fuite d'eau.
En espérant vous revoir bientôt
Cordialement
