If you're stuck for something to do but your not wishing to stray too far from the chunnel before departing for home, a low cost option is taking a short drive to the beaches south of the port entrance. There's a mixture of beach huts and plenty of parking just in front of some white sandy beaches. Nice for a short walk and fresh air or just stretch your legs.
If you have a couple of hours then take a slightly longer ride south along the coast and you'll very soon see a large hill. On the top of this is a monument to the seaman / naval losses, the view from here is fantastic!, theres a car park and a breezy walk at a gentle pace to the headland (approx 5 mins walk).
