We stayed for only one night and have used Ibis hotels for this purpose for many years. They are usually reliable and this one was no different. It is a bit out of the way and you need to drive to get into Calais centre to eat in a decent restaurant.
The staff were all very helpful and the bar service also good. Our room was small, but our short stay, quite adequate. The cost was also very reasonable.
All in all, recommended.
This hotel is absolutely fine for an overnight stay to get an early ferry back to the UK. The rooms are not very large but have exactly what you need for an overnight stop. It is clean and there is free wifi. Which works. Shame about the lack of kettle - but then this seems to be mostly a British thing! There is a restaurant onsite where the food is decidedly average but very handy. The bar is fine however and overall, the hotel fills a need adequately.
It is an Ibis Hotel, what i can say more: small rooms, but praticals, the firs floor is better, you can find a bar open until midnight, and it is a good choise for sleep a few hours if you can take a ferry very early, the room is clean, you can find english and french channel on TV, the staff at the reception is polite, it is an old hotel but for sleep that is good because is close the port and the value are honest, because you can earn nothig outside the hotel and a free parking.
