… had it not been recommended by a trusted local. We always avoid rows of restaurants in high tourist areas. But, the recommendation was a good one. Many reviewers complained about the service and we observed the same problem. With luck, we had possibly the only server with a good attitude and competence and that made a big difference. Alas, it was his last day. My wife and I had the Picardie Assortment and the Choucroute Poisson (how could you not try such a strange combination) which we shared. A half bottle of a St. Emilion complemented the meals well and a Nougat Glace finished it nicely. The meals merited 4.5 points. Our service was worth 4 points and the atmosphere was 3. Seventy Five Euro was a little on the high side (2.5 points), but the food saved the day. Four points is a generous rating, but the restaurant is worth a stop, despite the service and price.
