This part of Amiens is amazing,
the buildings and cobbled lanes give you the feeling you have gone back in time,
one of the better medieval villages I've seen.
We were there in winter when it was cold and a bit of snow around so not sure what its like during the warmer months but i imagine it would be lovely along the river.

Lovely houses and restaurants near the river. Beautifull view
of Cathedral Notre-Dame. Only 15' walk from Ibis Hotel Amiens Center.

I have witnessed this area develop over the years. It is now an animated centre of bars, cafes and restaurants with a few shops and sections of the university. Some parts look a little shabby now but the section by the water is interesting. The area by the cathedral has recently been developed and the flowers are stunning.

The area of St. Leu in Amiens has a great restaurant and bar life. Different types of restaurants and bars, there is plenty to choose from with a very good atmosphere. It has a very attractive location next to the river and the cathedral in the back drop.

The area has mixed reviews but we thought that it was well worth a visit. TIP Get a walk map from the information centre in the square of the area and do the 1hour walk to see the best bits then have a coffe overlooking the river.
