We recently stayed at the Kyriad at Le Mans so we were expecting the same service and level of accommodation here but we were very disappointed!!! The reception staff were lovely, but the room was very tired, smelt damp, had large stains on the carpet, didn't have an opening window, didn't have a kettle, had a hard mattress and lumpy pillows. The room was cleanish but there was a thick layer of black mould around the bath. The restaurant is closed at weekends.
Basically until it has a make over I would not recommend it.

It is rather a typical hotel of this chain. Situated close to a motorway and in the same time well connected to the city center (buses frequently going from Centre Commercial Nord to the center, the stop is just several hundred meters from the hotel). Large parking just near the hotel, in front of the windows. Friendly staff. Upon arrival we insisted to have a room on the ground floor (foot injury of one of us), so perhaps that's why we happened to get a triple room instead of the double room. The room was apparently of a size of a double room with the 3rd bed squeezed in. But, as I say, it might be that we got that one because the staff wanted us to get one on ground floor.
There was no plug in the bathtub.
The whole hotel looks a bit as if it needed refreshment, for example carpets should be exchanged.
However the linen and towels are OK and it is all very clean.
There is free WiFi in the room and it worked well.

As a large group of cyclists we arrived at the hotel at 5pm, hopefully looking for some refreshmentt at 5pm in the afternoon. The hotel staff were unwilling to open the bar until the allotted 7pm time. Between 5pm and 7pm we spent a good many euros so you'd think the hotel would have been appreciative.

On checking in, they insisted that only one key card would be issued per room, when a large number were hsaring twin rooms. Why they could not issued a card each is a mystery.

During dinner the service was poor and the staff seemed disinterested.

In the moring they removed the water butt from the water cooler, meaning no water available to fill cycle bottles for the day ahead.

My room was awful. There was no shower riser to hold the shower head.

Generally a pretty awful and shoddy place with shoddy staff.

Room Tip: Do not choose this hotel at all!

The hotel is set on a retail park and is easy to get to. There is ample parking and local shops galore. I was part of a cycling group and found it annoying that we could not put our bikes in our rooms, even though the bikes were clean. There were no staff after 11pm and we had problems with our door cards. We had to phone a number to get someone out to open our rooms. Breakfast was nice, but at an extra cost of €9. There were no facilities to have a get together so used a room only to be told to vacate within 20 secs or the police would be called.

After cycling 70+ miles with a party of 25 cyclists doing a 400 mile charity ride to Paris we arrived at the hotel tired and hungry to be told the restaurant and bar was shut at weekends. Pizza was bought from a nearby shop and a beer for each cyclist.
On sitting down the receptionist stormed over demanding "no beer" as the bar was shut, despite our polite requests the manager would not budge and allow us one beer each by opening the bar, he would not even get out of his chair to come to the reception desk to speak to us, very ignorant !
The rooms were very very basic, the baths were so small you could not even sit with your legs out to relax, the walls were paper thin and the worn carpet and dark brown heavy metal doors made you think you were in a renovated prison.
Our mistake was prebooking for 2 nights and on returning the following night we used the code to get through the main door but we could not access two of the rooms using our electronic door cards, the reception area was all gated shut and no telephone numbers shown to contact in the event of any problems, stuck out of our rooms not knowing what to do.
Eventually a business card was found in one of the other rooms with a mobile telephone, a staff member answered and came to let us in, no apology and he appeared put out that we had bothered him at 11pm.

We stayed in Premier Inns the previous nights in England and the staff there we so helpfull and friendly to us, clearly the Kyriad have no interest in customer service and see their paying guests as a inconvenience, AVOID !!!

I wish we had checked the other reviews on Trip Advisor re this Hotel before making our booking.

Booked via a 3rd party booking site for 3 nights, Friday - Sunday in late April 2013. The Hotel is set in a retail park a good distance from the centre of Amiens. Checked in only to be told the restaurant was closed at the weekend, despite the Kyriad website saying: "Relaxing weekend or business trip: whatever your reason for staying in a Kyriad hotel, don't miss out on a gourmet experience." Offered a local Pizza delivery leaflet instead. Once the retail park closes in the evening there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel, even when it's open there is a very limited choice of eateries and bars.

Whilst eating our delivered pizza, we were far from impressed when a group of 10 people walked in and were served a full meal from the "closed" restaurant. The same group ate from the "closed" restaurant on Saturday as well. If the Restaurant can be opened for a few, it can surely be opened for everyone.

As per other comments, the room, while adequate, had paper thin walls and noises from the corridor and nearby rooms could be heard once inside the room. The shower head bracket was broken.

On the last night we were turfed out of the bar area before 22.00 without any warning, just with a terse "we're closed" announced.

We expressed our concerns to the Hotel Manageress when we checked out. She insisted the Kyriad website made it clear the restaurant was closed at weekends (it doesn't) and then told us there were plenty of signs on the Reception and in the room telling us the same. Not a lot of use when you have pre paid for 3 nights.

Room Tip: Choose a different hotel.

We chose this rather than a Formule 1 because of the advertised restaurant. On arrival we were informed that the restaurant was closed so we had to eat at McDonnalds which took us 20 minutes to find.
On Saturday afternoon there is a lot of traffic to negociate through the industrial estate.
