What a great site! Our daughters (13 and 15) both did a green, a blue and a red course. As an alternative to going to the beach, visiting different villages for the cute "marchées", or biking through the very bycicle friendly environmen of Saint-Jean-De-Monts, this is a great alternative.
The courses are beautiful and challenging. We had stayed on the ground for the sake of taking the pictures (one parent per kid), but next time we will join them! In spite of our being Dutch, we got the same clear explanations about the courses and specifically the security measures.
Personnel were friendly, active and alert. Truly something to do during a visit.

Thank you very much for your comment,

We are very glad you that you enjoyed the place so much. We work hard and do our best for people to receive the best and warmest welcome when they arrive and for your day to be amazing.

Was the double safety clipping system already running when you came?
Then you could have wrote "climb 'til you wont ever be able to drop again". With this improved clipping system, people just can't take both of their clips of the safety line at the same time.

Our only goal is to make sure you have as much fun as you can, we'll take care of your safety, you just focus on enjoying.

I was very sorry to read the review about the boy who fell and spent 4 months in hospital- what a awful accident. Our experience was of safety first. When we visited, the parc had a double safety clip policy (I don't know if this has always been in place) so you are always attached by at least one safety clip, if not two. I've been to other high-wire parcs where they only use one safety clip. My children are 8 and 6 and did the green routes. It isn't cheap but the children had a massive endorphin fueled sense of achievement afterwards! Great confidence building.
The instruction was with a trainer who had very good English and two of the instructors went up on the net play area to bounce around with the kids, which the kids loved.
the parc is open until 11pm, so if it's a hot day go in the evening and watch the sun-set from the cool tree tops!

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your comment. We are glad to hear that you and your children had fun and enjoyed the place. We will keep working to improve the place and games to provide our customers with as much fun and entertainement as we can.

About our safety policy, it is our number one priority. That is why we now use a brand new safety clip system that keep people from taking off both of the safety clips at the same time. This new and revolutionary technology ensures that what happened to the boy who fell because he took both of his safety clips off will not ever happen again.

We are looking forward to seeing you again and will do our best for you and your children to enjoy yourselves even more, as we always do.

Explora Parc is a large complex within a beautiful forest in Saint Jean De Monts. One of the highly recommended activities is the Tree Trekking which involves over 100 obstacles amongst the trees. It is a fun day out and really boosts the confidence of children. You are given instruction (in English) on how to stay safe, then a harness is attached by the instructor and everyone is watched on a short test course. Children from 5 years and above are allowed.
The course is coded Green (Easy 5 years), Blue (Above 9 years), Red (Above 15 years) and Black (Difficult). Each one takes about 30-45 mins and can be repeated as many times as you want. There is no need to book unless you are arriving in a party of 10 or more.

There is a small cafe selling ice cream, drinks and sandwiches but I would advise bringing your own picnic. There is plenty of space.

During the summer, the forest is quite exposed so make sure to bring sun lotion, hats and good shoes (trainers or boots).

There are plenty of amazing bicycle trails so bring them as well. The main sandy beach is only 1km away from the Parc so I would recommend leaving your car there. In the high season, parking by the seaside is impossible.

Our girls are 5 and 7 and they loved it. They learnt to be more confident, to be absolutely safe and have no fear of heights.

One word of caution, the Black run is very very difficult. Don't just "try" it, you'll get stuck like I did!

Cost 20 Euros (adults), 10 Euros (children)
