My wife and I traveled to Pornichet just to get out of Paris for a few days during a long vacation. We'd never been to the coast before, and we were a bit apprehensive. But, after a nice train ride from Paris, we were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel much better than its 2 star rating. Most of the front desk people spoke English, and they were very helpful in holding our bags, and also in answering our questions (like telling us where to rent a bike). Pornichet was great for a getaway weekend - the beach was nice, and there were a bunch of great, small restaurants. I think we had the best food (and dinner service) of our entire France trip in Pornichet.

This is a beautiful decorated hotel with large rooms and a very friendly staff. It was a short walk to the little town and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. We couldn't believe that it just had two stars.

A lovely property, set in a quiet residential part of Pornichet, yet an easy walk to the beach or into the town centre for shops and restaurants.

The building is extremely well maintained and the public areas beautifully presented. There is a charming garden off the main salon, to relax in.

Our room was very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast consisted of a selection of freshly baked breads and pastries with fresh juice, coffee etc served at the table.

In a resort with lots of "resort style" accomodation, this is truly a home from home and is recommended.

We stayed at this hotel in late July for 2 nights whilst driving down to the South West coast. About 3 to 4 hours from Roscoff, this hotel was an ideal stop-over.

The hotel is at the quiet end of the La Baule beaches, but a "Petit Train" makes the La Baule resort east to reach - if you don't fancy the walk. Of course, you don't need to go into La Baule.....the beaches in Pornichet are fantastic - clean and safe, and there is enough in Pornichet to keep you occupied.

So, the hotel. Located in a very quiet part of town (but within very easy and safe walking distance of the town centre), the hotel is immaculately presented, inside and out. There is safe on-street parking right outside the hotel.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the reception was clean and spacious. We were allocated a room on the third floor, to which there is a modern lift.

The room we were given was large enough for four people, and had a great en-suite attached to it. The room wasd very clean, and very well presented, with a "luxury" feel to it. There was no air conditioning, but the electriclally operated window shutters kept the room cool even though it was 36 degrees outside.

We paid euro 220 for 2 nights stay, which I though was reasonable for such a nice hotel, and for four people.

I would definatley stay there again.

Stayed here for three nights in May and it was a lovely hotel in a nice, quiet area and Pornichet itself was very pretty. We would have been happy to stay on longer if we had had the time.

The rooms were lovely and bed very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the breakfasts delicious. The decor of the hotel was very well done and the lounge areas were very nice to sit in before and after dinner, with a few drinks from the bar.

We opted for the house dinner each evening. The menus were in-house translated from French to English so the translations were not always exact but it just added to the charm of the place. The food, other than the Andouillette de Troye (not to my taste), was lovely and plates went back clean.

All in all it was great value and a lovely stay. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone and would go back again if going in that direction.
