Way too many steps, rude staff. Better to choose a sister hotel but I would stay off the island and just do a day trip. Too crowded, too many steps, best seen from the distance. Two nights was one too many

We arrived well into the evening after a day touring the Normandy landing beaches. On the walk in from the shuttle drop off, Mont-Saint-Michel was spectacularly lit, and the tide lapped at the entry portal. Tired after our day, our arrival experience was great - check in was a breeze, and one of the staff grabbed, mercifully, a couple of our heaviest bags and headed high up into Mont-Saint-Michel with the younger of our group following in awe and we two parents lagging behind. The climb was worth it - beautiful rooms with spectacular balconies overlooking the Mont, a small cemetery, and the coast of France. While not purporting to review the affiliated restaurant, the lamb dishes were great. One tip - if you are going out at night, leave a trail of bread crumbs, as the rooms are located in a medieval maze with multiple possible wrong turns, all with associated stairs.

This was our second stay on Le Mont and this was a better hotel than before. We booked balcony rooms which had lovely views of the bay from which we enjoyed a great sunrise. The rooms have good bathrooms but no tea/coffee facilities. You can leave your bags at reception on your departure day if you are staying on the island. The most magical part is walking about after dinner when you have Le Mont to yourselves.

Room tip: Balcony room

This was our first time at this Hotel. Reception was efficient, the room was clean and the view from the window was exceptional.
However, the restaurant service was horrible. There were other places to eat, and we almost left to find another one until one waiter stepped up and provided excellent service. He was it out of 6 available waitstaff.

We've got a very nice room looking at the bay. Room was clean and adequate in space for the mont saint michel environment! Bathroom was clean and shower was ok. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying for 1-2 days. Place is magical specially during the night when very few people can be found strolling around!
