“Great food, service and view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2012 via mobile

We really enjoyed our evening here and thought it offered excellent food and service. We certainly didn't experience the froideur mentioned elsewhere - on the contrary the service was quick, good-natured and professional. The crepes were delicious - I can strongly recommend the Paysanne with walnuts and all kinds of good stuff. The cider was great too!

Obviously places can have good as well as bad nights but on the strength of our evening there last night I'd strongly recommend this place.

“Bad welcome”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 22, 2012

Two years ago, I went in this restaurant, it was a terrible experience due to the staff and more precisely the owner. I was with a friend and our dishes are arrived with one hour a late. In addition, we had to ask to waiters several times, when we get them. The owner came and tell us that if we weren't happy , we would leave !
We go to restaurants to enjoy our vacations and spend our money and we host like that ? There are many restaurants on along of the Côte Fleurie, with owners who are happy to see us so one tip, be on your way !

“Excellent salads”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2012

This modern restaurant definitly provides value for money. We had a good lunch here with a really good salad and as dessert a crepe. They also serve good coffee! Beautiful sea view.

“A lovely way to spend lunch time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2010

We lunched at this restaurant on 5th June 2010 and throughly enjoyed the food and the sun as we were seated in the open air dining space at the rear of the building. The only disappointment was the price of the beer which amounted to 6 euro per half pint, but then we had not acquainted ourselves with the local prices for beverages.

The restaurant was packed with French people so is obviously a very popular venue.

“Lovely lunch!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2009

Our family of four had lunch March 22, 2009 at l"Arbre a Pin. It was recommended to us by a local - always a good sign.
The restaurant can be entered from the beach side or off the main street, shopping side. The tables on the front have the animation of shoppers going by and all the color off the main street. The dining room on the beach side is wonderful in that the roof is glass and it is flooded with sunlight. There are two levels. We were seated in the upper level near the bar and we still had a beach view. There is a dining area outside that was closed when we visited but it must be fabulous in warm weather.
The restaurant is nicely decorated in a very trendy Italtian bistro style. It could use a coat of paint to touch up what was once quite sharp. There is alot of art on the walls and it is a very colorful place.
The food was really good. I had an Italian Salad that was just the right size for a meal. It had an odd combination of pickles and coppa among other things. I thought this would be strange but it was quite good. My husband had a Brittany Bundle (rough translation!) which is a buckwheat crepe stuffed with various items. His was stuffed with scallops and salmon in a cream sauce. He was thrilled with it. Our children each had carbonara and they lapped it up in no time.
The restaurant serves crepes with a variety of toppings. I had a Cafe Gourmand which was a coffee with a brownie, a small cup of vanilla ice cream topped with whipped cream, a chocolate and two cookies. Very nice ending to a meal.
The prices are very correct. Our server was a young guy who was all smiles and was efficient. We talked on and off with the owner (or manager) at the bar as he was working. He was quite friendly.
