We went to the very busy braderie in Lille, the city was crowded. It was very nice to sleep in a nice, calm and comfortable quite place as this!

A small hotel ideally place to explore this part of France. Friendly and welcoming, staff who speak good English, clean comfortable rooms.
An adequate Continental breakfast. Will stay at this hotel again when visiting Valenciennes.

The room I had was very large and cozy, as it had older furniture mixed with warm colours. The room was cleaned every day. I was surprised with the good standard of this two-star hotel. Wifi was reasonably fast and accessible from everywhere I went in the hotel.

The only thing I can complain about was the €5 breakfast as the scrabled eggs and bacon went cold in the cantine. On the other hand they had good cheeses to go with the bread. Overall the breakfast was small (Orange juice, a couple of yoghurts, two types of croissants, 4-5 cheeses, one type of bread, some cereals and milk, plus a coffeemachine with various sorts of tea, coffee and chocolate).

To summarize, the hotel is nothing extra but the stay there is good enough.

This hotel although limited in the facilities it offers is ideal for a short stay. The rooms although small are very clean and comfortable like the rest of the hotel. The staff is very helpful and although parking is on street you can park your car outside the pay zone if you wish to walk a few minutes to the hotel.

I stayed here for the weekend with a coach load from my village. The owners are in evidence and were helpful and friendly as far as possible given they speak no English. Fortunately we had several fluent French speakers. A bit rundown, even shabby but clean and adequate as a base. The Breakfast room is very small and squashed but there are plans to extend it. Breakfast the usual, with lovely fresh baguettes from round the corner, but rather elderly croissants. There isn't much space at the bar either, and it is not very well stocked (no gin!) but its not the sort of hotel where you expect vast reception areas. It is an old building with winding corridors, lots of steps and no lift, once a prison! The bedrooms are small but adequately furnished and the beds comfortable. There was always hot water. It is conveniently located, opposite the Cathedral; a few steps from a parade of useful shops, 5 minutes from the art gallery and market. It is in a quiet side street where parking is limited.
