This amazing aquarium makes the ones in the UK (Chester, Birmingham, Newquay) look tiny and poorly stocked. We had a brilliant time (in October half term when it was raining) and it was far from uncomfortably full. I'd allow at least 3 hours for a relaxed visit - more if you want to use the rather good catering facilities. If you've ever visited a UK aquarium, just imagine something twice the size with 3 times the exhibits and you'll be close to imagining it.
