Great centre, it tells you a lot about the sea, it's animals and countries/islands threatened by the increasing sea level. For me the focus of the centre is on education so it is more suitable for adults and/or school visits with children older than 10 years. We expected a bit more fun and fear as we were with 8 adults and 9 young children. You have great basins with many different types of fish, sharks and in some basins you are even allowed to touch some fish. You can spend easily half a day here and there is a cafetaria/restaurant.

“Brilliant aquarium and great way to spend 3 hours”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 12, 2013

Enormous aquarium, not too commercial and with good views of the beach and restaurant on site. Although expensive (family of five) I felt it was great value and all ages would enjoy it. Very well displayed and lots of variety including large open 'lagoon area' with sharks. Highly recommended and reason enough to visit Boulogne - one of the most attractive towns in the area.

“World class aquarium.”

This is quite unlike the sort of Aquarium you might expect to find in a small seaside town. It is enormous, brilliantly presented and well worth a visit.

“Great family day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2012

We visited Nausicaa on Sunday as we were staying near Boulogne and it looked great. Our 4 year old really enjoyed it and I would thoroughly recommend a visit if you are in the area. The centre is massive and every time I thought that we'd reached the end there was more to see.
We especially enjoyed the touch tank where you can touch the rays and the penguin exhibition and 4d film. Definitely worth a look and worth the money when you think of how much it costs to get into the sealife centre here in Bristol!
