Have been staying at this hotel for the last 10 years for an overnight every six months or so when we do shopping trips to France and Belgium.Always excellent value, and we have seen the refurbishment undertaken when the name changed. The breakfast is really good value - have as much as you like. Beds are comfortable and the rooms very well designed. Compared to a Travelodge (the closest equivalent in UK - apart from Ibis Budget in UK), it is about the same though different in some aspects.
This Hotel is also excellently placed being only a short walk from the main square with an excellent choice of restaurants.
The only negatives, which is why I have slightly downrated the rooms, is that there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms, and the drinks machine in the lobby is expensive and what you get is just not french standard. Also, since the upgrade the TV does not have any UK channels - eg BBC Word Service, and there is only one German channel. This is despite the fact that every time we visit this hotel there are at least three other parties of UK people there.
