We have eaten here on many occasions and have always experienced efficient and friendly service and excellent food. The mussels are delicious as are the fried prawns in butter. Particular favourites of ours are the boeuf bourguinon and the entrecôte frites.

Excellent value and nice restaurant. Had the escalope de volatile a la Normandy. This was yummy. lots of mussels as a starter and creme caramel.

Quiet restaurant inside the rampart next to Notre Dame Cathedral.

We were overnighting in Boulogne-sur-Mer and wanted somewhere to eat not too far from our hotel that offered a good choice. We were not sure where we were going for dinner but as we strolled past various restaurants in the old city, Le Swan's menu posted outside appealed to us so we went in. The restaurant manageress was lovely and the waitress was really helpful and friendly too. The food was really good and well sized portions. For starters I had the crevettes (prawns) in garlic and my other half had the smoked salmon. For mains I had the scallops on a bed of linguine pasta and my other half had the steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. We had a cocktail before and wine with our dinner. Coffee and a lemon sorbet after dinner. We were given a basket of fresh bread and little butter packets; when my husband devoured all the bread (he was hungry!) the waitress brought us another bread basket without us saying anything! Total for everything came to Euro 89. Not cheap but not expensive in my opinion for all the lovely food we ate (we live near London and know how expensive it is to eat out there!). It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, the restaurant is clean and has nice decor. We will definitely eat at Le Swan again next time we're in Boulogne-sur-Mer!

Moules frites for 2, 1/2 bottle of Muscadet, coffees for 32euros. Can't be bad! The set menus looked good too. Great place for lunch.

Been here 2 times once was in the winter sat inside but this visit was sat outside in the sun having the excellent value set menu . You might think that due to its location this restaurant would be just aimed at tourists but its not just for tourists , there were French people eating as well and that is a sure sign that it offers good food !
