“Tour of the Mines”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Bilingual guides toured us through the caves used for mining stones and later used in the WW1 for shelter and as a hideout. Well organised presentation and easily located in Arras.

“Emotional visit”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

We tok our friends, who were staying with us, to visit this attraction. Everything, like so many thngs French, was well thought out an organised. The guided trip was conducted in a number of languages with back up provided by audio guides that automatically give commentary at various points throughout the tunnels. The whole experience is very emotional but so well done.

“insight to ww1 conflict”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

On a stop off in Arras we had enough time to take in one attraction and were very pleased with our choice. We had a short wait before being taken down into the quarry by a well informed guide who added to the information put through our headphones. There was a short film after the guided walk that emphasised the role that the quarry and mine and played in one of the battles around Arras. The trip was informative and moving and gave just a glimmer of what it must have been like to have been a soldier involved in this dreadful conflict.
