Stayed here on a few occasions over the last few years. Basic but good value, in the centre of town. Rooms (small) recently refurbished. Despite asking for and e-mailing well in advance for non-smoking room, Receptionist could not offer one but firmness paid off and one was (miraculously) available. All Staff spoke English and were helpful.

What more could you ask for. Not the best hotel in the world but superb value and very clean and comfortable. Rooms a little on the small side but not a problem. I would agree with the earlier comment the bath/shower is very very tricky for elderly people to get out of as their are no hand holds and the bath side is very high.

Location is great as is a stones throw from the two main squares and resturants. Rooms were small but were clean and beds comfortable. We had breakfast in the square and enjoyed the Saturday morning market. Parking was difficult on Friday night as a lot of the parking spaces have to be vacated by 6am because of the market. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would use the Ibis as a stop over again.

Location could hardly be better. If all you want is a comfortable bed and clean smallish rooms, why pay more? Everything is typically Ibis...you get what it says on the tin. The high sided baths/showers have no hand holds so not recommended for anyone lacking mobility. Breakfast is adequate but it's probably more fun and cheaper to walk to one of the many local cafes. Plenty of restaurants and bars within a few hundred yards. Smoking is still allowed in some rooms. The hotel is under an obligation to answer any complaint within fifteen minutes of you checking in if you are not satisfied. Be careful parking in the underground park if you want to collect your car on a Sunday when it is officially closed. The hotel provides a ticket and number which has to be keyed in at the entrance and inserted in the machine on the way out to re-open the shutters.

As users of Accor hotels we tend to use the regular Ibis for preference as most are close to the town centre and are usually attractively priced. Hotel Parking is often available & is a plus as we like to abandon the car in order to explore the city on foot, which improves our understanding and enjoyment of the local facilities. It is very rare for us to have any disappointments over any aspect of our Ibis stays around Europe. When travelling Long-haul we also use the more upmarket Accor group hotels which we have found in India, China, Hong Kong and Australia. That we can book ahead via Internet is a major part of our travel planning process and usually with useful advice obtained through Tripadvisor

Located just off one of the main squares, the Ibis is fine for a couple of nights. The rooms are compact with a large very comfortable bed. We had a room that looked into a courtyard, so was quiet - with the exception of a cat that chose to make a racket each night. The AC (I thought) did not work - so checked at the front desk. I was told that it works when the sun shines, ?!, even still, we found it starting and stopping intermittently throughout the night, so eventually switched it off and opened the windows, hence the cat! We did not try the breakfast or bar, Car parking can be a bit tricky, best to return to Arras around 17.00, park on the side of the road near the hotel and pop a couple of € in the machine - that should see you through until 10.00 the next day. We would return and stay here - for a max. of 2 nights again.

Room Tip: May be better with a bedroom facing the courtyard.

Good location just around corner from Place des Heros and Grand Place. Limited parking opposite in Place Ipswich. Modern clean hotel brightly decorated. Staff were friendly welcoming and helpful. There was a written commitment to sort out any minor problems you might have within 15 minutes. There was an efficient lift to take you to the upper floors. Our room was small but clean and of a similar standard to Travelodge. The lack of space meant that there was little room to store clothing and especially suitcases. (Other rooms we saw had slightly more space than ours.) There was a good TV with remote control. The bathroom had good lighting and a hairdryer. The shower was over a half sized bath and worked well. Towels were good and supplies of soap ample, though we had to ask for our dispensers to be topped up, which they did within the 15 minutes. The bed was very comfortable and highly recommended. For breakfast you could choose from cereal, croissants, bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese, fruit juice, fruit, coffeee, tea and was so varied I might have missed something out. Although there were no midday or evening meals there was a food and drink service, which we used to order coffee, hot chocolate and beer in the evening. Overall definitely recommended and I would certainly stay again.
