A very comfortable and elegant house. We had a lovely room overlooking the gated front garden, and slept very well. The staff were attentive, and the breakfast generous and delicious. A great place to stay in Mazament.

Room Tip: our room, a second floor room at the front, was very comfortable and quiet.

Room called "Black an White" second floor :
Very confortable room, large bed and bathroom, with a beautiful sight on the black mountain.
The meal was a quiet moment with soft music and a food of choice, in a dining room decorated tastefully. The owners are very careful and gave us a lot of information about Mazamet ans all around, very nice !!! We will come back as soon as possible. Thank you.

We stayed in Les Jardins de Mazamet with friends for two days in September this year. It is a beautiful, large house right in the town of Mazamet. Our hosts Chantal and Andre were most welcoming and provided excellent food and very friendly service. Our room on the first floor was beautiful with views of the garden to the rear (an ensuite with a great shower). Our bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The food was marvellous, both at dinner and breakfast. We would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here for three nights in "Josephine", overlooking the front of the house and the road. The room was tastefully furnished, in the style of "Maison du Monde", a well know furniture retailer in France. The bed was comfortable and there was storage but it was not well laid out, with hanging space far from drawer space, a small detail which could have been spotted. The bathroom was well fitted out with a bath and large shower , some toiletries etc. The big problem was the smell from the loo. I reported this to the owner who blamed the weather! It would certainly put me off from staying there again.

The breakfast was standardized and felt like an assembly line operation. There was a bowl of fruit which reappeared everyday if not tackled the day before! The male side of the partnership seemed to be responsible for the food, but never wanted to speak to anyone. His wife was on guard, or so it seemed, having a desk in front of the door and at the bottom of the stairs, most weird and uncomfortable. She seemed to pop up,wherever we were. We had an evening meal one night, there being very poor options on the town. Again, we felt it was too formal and regimented to be enjoyable. When we sat out on the terrace overlooking the nice garden we were constantly asked if we were OK. We would have preferred to be free to enjoy the moment. We had to find our own glasses and there was no complimentary nibbles which would have been a very nice and inexpensive touch.
The parking in front of the house was generous and easy , the house was very beautiful but there was nothing personable about the hosts at all.

We spent five nights here and were delighted at the thoughtful touches provided. We had a large room overlooking the garden and it was hard to believe you were in a town. The only sounds were the church bells occasionally. We had beautiful warm weather so it was lovely to go out knowing that a quiet garden and pool were there for relaxing. The breakfasts were very good with delicious fresh bread, croissants, fruit, juice, yoghurt and coffee. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and the shower was amazing! We found an excellent restaurant at Hautpoul, the medieval village lying South of Mazamet, and went there for three nights of our five. The town doesn't offer much choice to be honest. This is a very nice place to stay with one caveat. You must like dogs (we do) as the owners have two huge hounds. My only criticism would be that these dogs do use the garden as a toilet and perhaps it is rather off putting to find that for some. Other than that, I highly recommend.
