“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We visited the cliff and the museum early in the season, on a rainy day. Nevertheless, as we came prepared it did not stop us, having a great experience. The climb down to the beach – and up again – requires you are fit for the approx. 440 steps, and have shoos with a good grip as it gets slippery when wet. If so, you are guaranteed an exciting experience. We visited as a group and had booked a guide that gave an interesting and informative commentary, and who helped identify the fossils we found on the beach.
The museum is very interesting and instructive. We had too little time to see all we would have liked to. So a piece of advice: Plan for at least ½ a day. Especially if the weather is beautiful.

“Good place but expensive”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

The white cliffs were very beautiful and the surrounding nature worth a visit. The exhibition was interesting and informative about the area, its history and included a 3D movie about the geological history of the region. A good place to visit though the ticket price for the exhibition centre was quite high.

“Breathtaking views and walks - good fun - great exhibition”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

The Danish version of the White Cliffs of Dover on the quirky little island of Mon, 130 km or 90 min south of Copenhagen, is well worth a visit.
We came on a day with perfect weather, great views from the top of the cliff. Romance, exercise, family fun - all can be had. And the newly- built Geo Center provides nourishment for brain and stomach.
A recommended excursion!

“A perfect solution on a misty day”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We could see nothing of the cliffs through the mist and rain so ventured indoors to experience them through some great interactive exhibits. The 3D movie lasted 40 minutes which took more of our time than we had bargained for, so we didn't see as much of the exhibition as we'd have liked.
There was an extra charge for headsets to listen to the movie in English (it was David Attenborough SPEAKING in English and dubbed) which seemed petty. The entry fee was big enough so should have included a tiny headset.

“Great to visit before seeing cliffs”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We were visiting this Mon cliffs without doing much research about this area and its history. Geo Center is compact and hands on guide like for this area. It has beautifully explained history of the area, about the sea life in dinosaurs time and fossil formation. There are models, real fossils, exhibitions, 3D movies, short movie clips, do-it-yrself kits all explaining it in a simple and easy manner. My kids 3yrs and 5yrs, they could understand it too!! After visiting the center, it was super interesting for us to visit the cliff and the beach. Now we knew where we are standing and what we could find here (which luckily we found too one small piece of back bone of squid from dino time).

Both 3D movies were very nice and they had models from the story of movies, outside in display. So every thing looks connected and feels a great experience.

Center also has guided tours for cliffs included in the ticket price, which is very nice. There are various events and exhibition. Also there is a tree walk during summer ..it looked interesting while we saw it from below.

The Cafe has superb coffee,I really mean it. It was fresh and perfect.

The souvenir shop is moderately priced and has good collection. The staff is all around and very helpful and spends good amount of time explaining things.

One thing to complain was, we had to buy headsets for 10DKK if wanted to listen movies in English. Movies were running in Danish , there were 2rows with eng subt headset points. I feel headset should be included in price.

If you are looking for larger than life museums like America's, then also you could feel less satisfied. But in Europe usually we have small places...be it amusement park or museums.
