“A very nice place in the middle of nowhere”
Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

Liblice is very very nice "hotel". But there is a problem if you want go for a walk. There is nowhere to go by walk. You always need to get sokewhere by car. The restaurant is fine, but there is very few meals to choose from. If yoy want to eat "out", you have to go about 10 km to the nearest town.
but in general, liblice makes a very good impression. If you are looking for a romantic weekend e.g.

I was lucky enough to stay here for a conference. The whole impression of the place is fantastic, the vista down the drive, grounds, great character building and excellent rooms.

We had a good sized conference room and the staff looked after us well during the day, lunch was great and whilst pre-ordered all came at once in good time. So far so good.

When it came to the evening the tone changed, whilst we were a bit of a group about 10 of us there wasn't anything very unusual. However despite our best efforts to the food took forever to arrive and came with vast gaps between the two courses we were allowed. The last main course was served and we finished eating about 10:10 (having asked for dinner at 8 and ordered soon after) we were told there was no desert as the kitchen had closed! I must admit to feeling let down and actually a bit cross on what could have been a truly brilliant stay.

We had our wedding in Liblice chateau in May 2012 and the service they provided was perfect. We didn't stay over, but they made their beautiful rooms available for us to have photographs taken in. Rooms were clean, spacious and equipped with beautiful furniture. Food in the chateau restaurant was also very delicious.

Very good place for conferences.
Well renovated main building with precisely recovered frescoes.
Realtively good kitchen and ability to taste local Czech (not Moravian!) wines.

Rooms are simple, yet functional and clean, but not 4-5*.

Great garden for walking and relaxing.
Nothing interesting around, so your best help is a 45-60 minutes ride to Prague.
Wouldn't use this place for anything else than a conference or a party.
