An excellent week in Vittel Ermitage. A beautiful setting for a week of good golf, good food, great atmosphere. Weather could have been a little kinder. As seasoned Club Medders this was our first holiday without children and we would definitely do it again.

We had a great time at club med. we would recommend the golf teachers Benjamin and Thomas really great teachers that take time for all students. We didn't stay in that hotel but would not recommend it for kids. It's the perfect place if you want to relax and play golf.

Good Club Med hotel, good food, nice rooms, a lot of space, high ceilings, etc.
This year the "Chef de Village" was Erick, and he was good! A real Chef de Village, like in the old, Club Med, days. Very present, attentive, and what a speech on August 15th, goose bumps!


The only minus in this hotel is, as always, the Wi-Fi :-(

We spent two weeks in the first half of August 2017 at the Club Med Vettel Ermitage, probably the 7th or 8th time. The vacation itself and the club were excellent. The GOs the GEs were friendly as always and extremely forthcoming in fulfilling the guests wishes. I would like to call out Pauline (service restaurant) and Scott (bar) who excelled at their jobs. Erick the clubs manager is an amazing multi talent, he cooks and sings and runs a very smooth operation making the guests feel really welcome.
I have four points of criticism however:
1) The free wifi is nice but way too slow to be really useful. Also it requires reconnection every so often, there are better technical solutions than what Orange offers here to Club Med. This is quite an annoyance as one has become accustomed to free high-speed wifi.
2) As we've been to this very club already 7 or 8 times, I wonder why the receptionist asked us whether we were here for the first time? Club Med should get a CRM.
3) The facility to clean golf clubs is cumbersome, you need to go into the caddy master house to ask to have it turned on before you can use it. It would be much better to either install a switch right next to the facility or have a water basin and some brushes to clean the clubs manually. Also pressured air to clean golf shoes would be a huge plus.
4) I don't understand why parking is not free. There is no security or guarantee of a parking spot anyway. For a vacation on which you spend some € 6000, free parking and high-speed wifi should be included. I don't like to be "nickled and dimed".

To enjoy the all-inclusive services of “Club Méditerranée” in a hotel full of history.
Ideal situation on the edge of the park of Vittel, very close to 3 golf courses.
For golf lovers and visitors looking for calm and rest.
The building and the toilets of the rooms deserve renovation.
We regretted the lack of a swimming pool in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (one can take advantage of that of the Hotel du Parc, located a few hundred meters away).

We came to the hotel after visiting many Club Med hotels along the years. We expected to meet a pastoral place which offers great food as well as entertainment and activities for kids apart from golf.

What has happened in reality is totally different. The landscape is in fact breathtaking and very nice to look at, but the food is taste-less and does not fit the Club Med level. The hotel is very far from the one pool and the center of the resort and getting there requires a 20 minute walk! The resort itself is shockingly open to everyone and anybody can get in the hotel property. The staff is not friendly, and isn't as active and welcoming as expected from the Club Med's GO's. Apart from this, the Wi-Fi is slow and usually doesn't work, and the shower is crooked and old.

The golf course is huge and excellent for whoever wants to come and play, but people who don't seek golf playing might not have anything to do in the hotel area.

To conclude, our experience from the hotel did not meet our expectations and was a great disappointment for us, Club Med lovers.

Travelling with my daughter, this holiday was to "chill out" whilst enjoying golf and socialising. Club Med Ermitage delivered on all counts. From reception, bar, restaurant, pro-shop, room cleaning ... I can only say a very big thanks. The staff are attentive but not intrusive, a difficult balance to achieve. Finally, thank you to Eric (manager) for playing Pink Floyd. I think Eric did really well in balancing the music played. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
