I had the chance to lunch and dine in this fantastic little restaurant several times. The interior is very cosy, offering just 5 tables the name is well adapted to the room.
L'Appart is definetely the restaurant with the warmest welcome I ever had been. Both Thierry and Frank are absolutely passionate about their profession and they love to serve their clients excellent food and wines with a personal touch like ingredients from their own garden or meat or fish from family or friends.
The offer a great selection of excellent wines (all of them also available by glass) and I would always follw Thierry's suggestions for wines well adapted to the served dishes.

I would drive quite some extra miles for this restaurant and cannot await going there again.

Following my last visit, I had high hopes that a detour (via Vittel) from London to Vaduz would be worth the effort. I was more than amply rewarded for the extra miles I drove. This restaurant may not have armies of waiters - but it does have the two most important ingredients. A truly talented and creative chef, who cooks original and mouth-watering food. Secondly, a front-of-house partner who is truly passionate about explaining the provenance of local ingredients and the preparation and care that goes into sourcing them. Together they are an unmissable combination. This time the highlights for me were a truffle omelette and a 2009 pinot gris from Alsace producer Materne Haegelin et filles.

We visited Vittel and by chance came across this amazing restaurant. Quite simply it is one of the prettiest restaurants you might come across and would not look out of place in Provence. Typically French dining in a typically French setting. We had smoked trout that had been caught by the co-owner's father. For €15 each extra we were served wines that accompanied each dish, with each of us being served different wines for the choices we had made for each course! The service was exemplary, unobtrusive yet anticipatory and genuinely interested in explaining the course about to be served. The co-owner's partner is the chef and a real magician in the kitchen. If you find yourself anywhere near this place and you want a treat you really should visit, it is that good and deserves a detour. Great choice of wines too - do try their Materne Haegelin Cuvee Elise if you like pinot gris - delicious!
