Breda Murphy also features a standalone delicatessen which serves delicious, natural and seasonal deli plus hot drinks and refreshments available for take-out. The award-winning Breda Murphy Restaurant and Delicatessen has been delighting visitors with modern British and Irish cuisine inspired by the Breda’s home region of County Carlow, and Lancashire’s Ribble Valley since 2006. Popular dishes include market fish of the day with brown shrimps, Cornish crab salad, roast fillet of Bowland beef and Breda Murphy’s classic fish pie. Complement your dish with one of Breda’s fine wines and spirits found in her extensive Reilly’s Bar wine list. The restaurant also serves breakfast Friday to Sunday and Sunday lunch. The delicatessen offers seasonal deli, light breakfasts, cakes and coffees together with takeout meals and sandwiches. Customers can also place and collect outside catering orders.

The team at Breda's are so very professional, attentive but not invasive and really friendly. The menu changes regularly and there is always something delicious on the Specials. The food is wonderful and she has a great lovely wine list which is very reasonably priced. We love Breda Murphys and if you haven't been you really must give it a try.

We are big fans of Breda Murphys and whether it is simply a takeaway of freshly made soup and and a superb sandwich or lunch in the cafe/restaurant to mass catering at home we are never disappointed. Everything is made from the freshest ingredients and is a taste experience. Worth a detour!

We are big fans of Breda's and have visited many times over the last 5 years.

Breda's training at Ballymaloe and her days as Head Chef at The Inn at Whitewell shine through in the outstanding food she serves in both the restaurant and the deli.

The restaurant is bright, modern and airy and the service is efficient.

It's always popular, so make sure you book in advance.

The meat and fish is locally sourced.

We love the wonderfully indulgent luxury afternoon teas and Fish 'n' Chip Fridays.

I never leave without buying one of Breda's delicious frozen fish pies!

Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea.

Called in for Saturday lunch without reservation and we were delighted that they could accommodate us. (We were actually en-route to The Inn at Whitewell but decided to try here instead.) We were not disappointed, the warm welcome from the staff and the choice and quality of the food made it a really enjoyable experience. Breda has a great menu with daily specials and we were spoiled for choice. I was impressed that she has a incorporated a few authentic Irish touches (lovely waitress from Carlow and Newbridge Cutlery!) We will be back

Two lunches this week, each time with different friends, produced expressions of great satisfaction. Breda's experience at the Ballymaloe cookery school , run by Darina Allen in County Cork, shines through the menu. She's not afraid to develop her own ideas and Lancashire learning and has passed her experience on to her head chef. The delights served at her deli counter are also impossible to resist.
