“Here often on business.”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

This is definately the nicer hotel in Epinal. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms, quiet. A tad pricey, decor very dated. I've stayed here 21 days this year and will be returning in September for 10 more. I've learned to jump at making the reservations because I prefer this hotel - it can book up. The location is a short walk to the downtown restaurants. One hint - do not park in the covered parking unless you have to, it is 12 E a day and a major pain to park in... I think it was sized for Yugos. Park across the street for free (between 7pm and 8 am, IIRC).

I really enjoyed this hotel; great staff. Avoid the breakfast, it is over-priced for what is provided. Go down the street to one of the bakeries for cheaper and better. That said the hotel is somewhat convenient to the train station, but if hauling luggage the cobble stones give your hands a beating. And it is a slight grade uphill as you head the three block of so distance. That said the accomodations were more than adequate and the staff was excellent.

After check in I went to my room and the room was occupied by somebody else!!!
Front desk person only smiled and say I am sorry. She changed me to a different room but gave me the key without re-programming it. I asked to reprogramm it and she did finally.

The hotel is well located about 500m from the old town and provides on-site parking (for a charge). The room was basic or reasonable size (we had superior, so maybe standard would be small) but very clean. The hotel staff we 're helpful giving us a brief overview of what was happening in Epinal over the weekend when checking in. Epinal itself is ok, it has a variety of reasonable restaurants, shops and bars but don't expect a big metropolis - its a good stop over in my view if going on to explore the lovely Vosges region. We did not have breakfast so can't comment on food, also the hotel has a swimming pool which again we did not try.

I would not consider this hotel a 4 star hotel. The utility kit in the restroom is very essential, the room itself is quite small ( a lot of space is lost for having the toilet separated from the bathroom), television has few channel in english and in Italian. The location of the hotel is good, 10 min walking distance from the train station and the city centre. the Hotel has a parking spot but the place is quite small. The breakfast is good but the price is a little expensive as well as the room rate. but in consideration of the location I would return.

Our family of 4 stayed in this hotel for 2 nights September 10-11, 2012. The staff were helpful and attentive especially as we had to take our daughter to the hospital immediately after we arrived in Epinal. She had severe ankle injury and returned to the hotel with a plaster cast and had to walk with crutches. A staff member Benoit, was looking after our every need in the restaurant and bringing items to our family rooms. The breakfast buffet was magnificent and the restaurant in the evening was also very good. The location was very convenient for walking although too hilly for our injured daughter. The reception staff were extremely friendly and also the cleaning staff were very amiable when we had to stay in the room during cleaning time. Overall, a difficult situation was made very comfortable for a family, a long way away from home in Australia.

I travelled with my family , four person. We stayed two rooms combination. The rooms were very nice and clean. Entry was clean. Your breakfast was excellent and the service was excellent in the breakfast room. The location was good near the city centre and near the river.
