My wife and I stayed here for two nights while negotiating to rent a house nearby. We had the place to ourselves and so could choose which room to sleep in. It's in a quiet location, though just the other side of the railway line from central Brive. And you have a good view of the town. The rooms were clean, our bed was comfortable, and it was warm (despite being below freezing outside). But best of all were the breakfasts - cheeses, ham, fresh eggs, a variety of home-made jams, yoghurts, creme caramel, croissants, a range of bread rolls and pastries, good coffee and tea made with boiling water (at last someone in France gets this right!). Each breakfast carried me through a whole day. If it weren't for the fact that we shall now be near-neighbours, we would have come back here many times. A big thank you to our hosts.

We can confirm all the previous reports. Secure parking; comfortable room (we had "Laure") with nice, long beds (so often French beds are too short) and excellent central heating and piping hot water. Also - free wifi and plenty of space.

Breakfast was outstanding. Excellent rapport qualité-prix - 75 euros for two with a breakfast enough to last a day was splendid value. Friendly host and charming hostess.

Only negative - it is a 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurants - if one wants an evening meal. No problem in summer, but on the shortest day, and dreary, dark and on the point of raining, it was not all that much fun to walk into Brive. Not the owners' fault, of course, but a point to bear in mind.

We have been in France a year now and I can say hand on heart, this charming B&B gave us the the best breakfast we have had to date! We stayed inthe caravan with 2 children and it was gorgeous! Our hosts were warm and welcoming - highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night last summer on a touring holiday in France. This is a lovely quiet place, situated above the town of Brive, where we were welcomed by the charming owner, wreathed in smiles despite the pouring rain. We were shown to a little house up steps , where we had use of two bedrooms, shower room and living area all decorated in vintage French style with wrought iron furninture and lovely old photos everywhere. There were fresh apricots and milk (and smarties) in the little fridge behind louvre doors, and tea and cofffee to use. Madame gave us tips on where to eat and to visit in the interesting town (which is just a short wak down the hill)beaming all the time. There were also loads of guide books and leaflets in various languages in the house. We knew from the guest book that breakfast the next morning would be something special. In we went to a table set with beautiful linen with handmade felt napkin rings. Freshly boiled eggs arrived, accompanied by baskets of croissants and bread and home made preserves. The kiwi and orange was amazing !A board with cheese and meats was presented, and as much coffee or tea as we wished. We were the only guests at the time, but Madame could not have made us feel more welcome or gone to more trouble for us. In better weather, breakfast is usually served by the swimming pool!
i cannot recommend Domaine de Breuil highly enough - our only regret was that we were just there for one night en route elsewhere. Go !

We spent a night in Brive and booked this accommodation at short notice. What a find and what fantastic hospitality. We were warmly greeted and give a full tour of the accommodation. There was even a welcome drink. There is one double bedroom, one twin room and one room with a 3/4 size bed ( I think).
Everything was plannd with superb detail and with the maximum comfort of the traveller in mind. No exepnese or effort to detail had been spared.
The breakfast next day was just wow! So much choice and again superb attention to detail.
This is well worth a detail if you are travelling near Brive and everyone (there were 5 of us) was so disappointed not to stay for longer.
Given the average reviews of most of the hotels in Brive there is really no reason to stay any where else. We paid 170 Euros for five of us for B&B, fantastic value. GO GO GO
